  1. I would think heavyweight would be a lesser learning curve (as legs aren't/weren't) involved as much at heavy. I do agree, we lose talent quicker than we should due to outside influence (money is a big one ). But I'll never move off the idea that if we were freestyle/Greco for life . We'd have the most depth every year in both styles.
  2. There's a variety of factors connected to our decline but at the core is the fact that we don't prioritize greco from an early age. While the popularity of Folkstyle hinders freestyle development. It obliterates Greco. Not the athletes. Simply the development. Much smaller countries continue to produce much better results. Cheers
  3. Back in the Harry Lester and Dremiel Byers days? Sometimes we confuse exceptional talents as proof of concept. Ie: we have success at the world level, folkstyle doesn't hinder freestyle performance/progress. *Just looked it up: 2 bronze from the above mentioned And a silver from Vering (forgot about that guy) We won, no doubt but even a blind squirrel.
  4. We just don't, and seemingly never will, figure out a training system to create a competitive team at this level. I wish it'd change for them because you know they work hard, but for now it feels like sending Blair Academy to the NCAAs and being surprised when nobody medals .
  5. Thank you for assessing the draws instead of just making a joke about how we can only beat Mexico (as I did)
  6. I was looking on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/Cxap4Vysmb5/?igshid=MmU2YjMzNjRlOQ==
  7. Also does Elor go 68 or 76?
  8. Just saw the Greco draws. USA got hosed. We didn't draw an opponent from Mexico at any weight. I don't see how they expect us to build confidence without winning matches. Rigged
  9. She's beat some good wrestlers. Bronze wont be easy. But DP did wrestle her the best
  10. I think 57kg is going to hurt him, going to take some serious planning. I'm interested in his next 6 months
  11. Also yes, the kid is soooo young. I hope he ends up being a massive star
  12. Yeah he didn't obliterate him, but visually just looked the part. Just looked like an unbeatable athlete. I was thinking "this is it, this is an obstacle Snyder isn't going to be able to overcome" Then non-steroid Bolt, had about 30 seconds of wrestling in him
  13. 0 justification but I think if he wrestled Saduleav or Snyder next week, we'd all expect it to be considerably closer. Just giving the older legends the benefit of the doubt. Obviously wrestling like this, I'd have to believe he's never going to lose another match. But it just reminds me of Mohammedian or Steroid filled Boltukayev. Where in the moment it's like: "oh this is the new standard" But unfortunately, it's gone in a blink . I hope, he carries this invincibility for awhile, it would make for a fun storyline, and make the division a little more interesting. (Would love for somebody to emerge at 86kg as well)
  14. Taz had 0 chance of fumbling the bag. Is he a heavy favorite from now on ?
  15. Lol Muz stayed this same version of himself the entire time. Seabass looked like himself as well. Still congrats to him for the Silver
  16. Talk about a complete tournament by the Moose. Impressive
  17. Streaming while driving isn't explicitly outlined
  18. Had to go get my CDL . Lol but clearly pumped for this Semis. Everyone looking great
  19. I should rewatch instead I'll just be wrong for awhile. :) haha dangit. Hope the girls show out !
  20. I was just giving a hard time. It would be cool
  21. Yeah that doesn't work . That little Peterson he hit was clearly his move and doesn't score anything for Dake . But meh whatever
  22. 57-Spencer 65-Mckenna 74-JB 86-DT 97- Snyder 125-Parris
