  1. 100% fair, he did what he needed to and got the spot. I was happy for him. Why do I not want him as the rep? Because he can't medal, but I'm glad he made a world team, He's a solid dude
  2. Dake has such a massive fan base, and is seen as such an intellectual. The thought absolutely crossed my mind (as close match lovers) but... I refrained
  3. Yea, it's like: He never competes. He's always injured. Nico was right there with him Last big moment Ramos put it on him . I wanna believe he techs Uguev for absolutely no reason.
  4. Theyre both super solid, physical guys, super strong positionally, Metcalf just didn't stop. Theres a lot of positionally solid guys I couldve used. I just think of 1pt wins/losses and Metcalf immediately pops into my mind.... I just wish Nicky S stayed on the gas a little more. If he'd tech all the non-contenders, I'd feel better, but he's going to win or lose by a takedown, and it's too much fire for me to play with
  5. Richards- I dont want Suriano- I'll accept but meh, won't be enthused. Vito, Gilman, Fix, Lee...... I'm an Oklahoman so "Go Fix" but regardless of who gets the spot, I favor them all vs the reigning world champ. (I genuinely wouldn't be bothered by any of them) ..... Clearly a Lee who beats the domestic field would be a force. (But we'll see)
  6. HAHAHAHAHAHAH GO FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Conversely at the slower paced weights, like we've seen J'den repeatedly do. You aren't dealing with a ton of offensive output, so you can somehow "Comfortably" 3-2 your way to a ton of medals . (And I'm a Cox guy)
  8. Yeah, I think in the post you quoted. I said maybe the only similarity is the close matches....... Meaning, "I admit I was wrong in the comparison" but I'll double down on neither can gain separation and at the lighter weights it's hard to coinflip 3-2 decisions enough times in a row to earn a medal .
  9. I was among those who thought he might win the spot. But it wasn't due to his offensive prowess. Yeah maybe the only similarity with Metcalf is the extremely tight matches. Just saying it can get a little wild out there and I want a 57kg guy who can score. We'll see. I want to be sold on Lee. But I just can't. If the match happens. Give me Push Ups
  10. However I don't like Suriano as our rep. Just feel like it's very unlikely he separates from anyone good. The Metcalf approach just isn't the way
  11. I see your point and turn my attention to Alirez over McKenna . Lee takes a loss and Inj Def out Pantelo doesn't end up having the gas . Quincy Monday, not so fast. What a tournament from Josh Shields (long shot) Ringer in the new year . We need a little Moore from Kollin, nasty Nate gets it done Dom Bradley might be old, but old is Gold here .
  12. I only remember the Richards loss. But I feel like he's wrestled more recently and also took an L (not as bad ) but don't quote me . Somebody who remembers chime in
  13. Lol you never wanna take me seriously
  14. Just silly. Seems like the boards catch fire, outraged for a few non-world team reps, that have to make a decision up/down that also won't affect the Olympic team
  15. I mean some don't even send a rep at non Olympic weights.... I just wonder if every 4 years the outrage is the same as it is domestically, "I can't believe there's only 6 weights, what about this tweener who would stand a decent chance of placing at our national tournament, now he has to wait a year to compete at his more natural weight"
  16. Wonder if other countries b*tch about weight classes as much as us
  17. Looks like me practicing with 120lb middle school kids.
  18. Lol Chamizo vs McKenna fun https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0wlU5OsdtN/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  19. Everyone should know Jonathon D at this point.... (I have no clue who our Olympic Rep will be and neither do you, what a fun weight) And I'm glad Amit went down, gives us a stronger team for sure. Her and Adeline should both win, Gray will be further removed from pregnancy and I'm sure will get in plenty of competition. She'll be ready
  20. Its hard to bet against McKenna, but for my money its hard to pick against Alirez. The only knock on PantsLayLow is the potential cut, otherwise he's right there with McKenna, I hope he shows up in A+ form Lugo I think is the biggest landmine among the guys who have no shot at winning it. He can upset anybody, but he can also lose to anyone. I never give Bartlett enough credit....
  21. But still same.same, not close to snyderman
  22. Who knows it's all hearsay
  23. *I'd have him with Dudley and DePrez
  24. I'm just not sure if you're giving big Cass too much credit . I'm worried the offense, down a weight, might be too much . But otherwise, very fair
