  1. Another 157? They already have a potential logjam from 141-157
  2. Elam says training with Yonger was a big part of his decision. That is going to be a major 1-2 punch to end the lineup
  3. a tapped in D11 guy a few months back said Pinto to Rutgers was a done deal
  4. 80kg also has Liam Crook, Saleh Tsarni, Nick Singer, and Mario Hutcherson. Those 4 are studs and with Stewart having a down year I am curious if he bounces back and dominates or gets pushed by these guys
  5. announced today on his IG
  6. Probably depends how the offseason goes. Would guess he does some 65kg stuff to test if he thinks he is big enough yet
  7. 70 is looking like it could be really interesting this year, Yianni, Green, Larkin, Duke, Taylor, Shapiro, Kasak, Jacques and a bunch more. It really gets interesting if Zain does compete again (which he hinted at in a recent Flo video). Also curious what weight McKenna ends up at
  8. I don't think they are that close, they were HS teammates and club teammates, but there is nothing I have seen from either of them that signifies them as super duper best friends as the wrestling forums seem to suggest at times
  9. That would be a good fit for ASU, Vince is pretty solid and I think he makes NCAAs if he stays healthy this year
  10. Easier to beat the guys at OSU than Ono
  11. I agree that at this point he has to be considered legit, also think it is really interesting that he is half-Iranian. That is a good combo for wrestling and further, Japan having a legit wrestler above 79kg makes a huge difference for them in potentially winning a team world title (though they likely still struggle to outscore the big three nations)
  12. I can give it a shot with the roster as is, assuming no transfers 125: Spratley 133: Hughes/Sakamoto/McComas 141: Jamison/Swiderski/Hughes 149: Swiderski/Jamison/Travis 157: Travis/Swiderski/Robideau 165: Lockett/Facundo 174: Facundo/Lockett 184: Thompson/Merrill 197: Merrill/Thompson 285: Doucet 133-157 will all depend on how Jamison/Swiderski/Travis works out and I don't know who is what weight/can make what weight. I think the first name listed going straight down would be the most likely lineup if the roster doesn't change
  13. If Cannon ends up at 165 next year and eventually goes 174 he would have wrestled 141, 157, 165, and 174 in college. Talk about some growth! Also if Kharcala is really done, 174 is a hole for Ohio State next year, and where Paddy could end up.
  14. I think Paddy to the bench is a real possibility. He was 0-2 at NCAAs this year and lost to a kid from the freaking Citadel to get eliminated. Cannon up at 165 very likely can beat Paddy out.
  15. Bailey would not be a favorite over Blaze and McNeil would be a small 157, and if Welsh goes 184 that is a toss-up with Angelo. And Ayala would not be a favorite over Ono (reigning world champ at that weight class). Haines against anyone at 174 is not a tossup.
  16. Neves never made sense in Columbus, he wasn't beating Feldman out but he was really good in HS and even beat VT's Mullen. He will be a sneaky good grab for a team out there
  17. Rumors is they want both Larkins, they already have two valiant kids (Meza and Castillo0. I would anticipate they stay at home in Arizona however.
  18. Plus the rumors of them actively trying to bring Larkin in if he decides to leave ASU
  19. I could see him moving up to 197, he has competed there in the past and some of his inconsistency issues could be solved by cutting less
  20. Roselli has had a positive impact so far at Pitt, and time will tell exactly how it works out
  21. I hadn't thought of McNeil to Nebby but it makes perfect sense. Hardy, Lovett, Green, Taylor and McNeil is a great 65/70kg room
  22. He also got beat out, the match he got hurt in was during his attempt to move up to 133 after Robinson dominated Journeyman and Camacho floundered
