  1. Jay gets a dominant win. It comes down to big boy Hilger
  2. Coleman with the huge comeback. Were these guys smoking cigs in the lockeroom beforehand? No cardio at 79 or 86 for Russia
  3. USA getting smoked so far
  4. Really good match, crazy defense by both guys
  5. I get that, but I would rather it just be a PPV at that point. The more hoops I have to jump through to the more apathetic I get. My comment was more about the casual wrestling fan. Is someone who doesn't care that much about freestyle going to do all that just to watch these cards? Also, from a booking perspective, how often are the cards going to be, and how long is each one going to take? If they are monthly and will be archived, I feel like that could be a worthy $ trade-off for wrestling fans to subscribe. Card length matters also because it starts Saturday at 7. Is it going to run till midnight? Or can we expect it to wrap earlier than that? Overall, while it is still an unknown product, I am skeptical about the streaming choice but hope that it all goes well for wrestling's sake. One thing I am curious about is the people already subscribed to FoxNation. if RAF can get them interested in wrestling, that could be a large untapped audience. I just know nothing about how many people/demographics of FoxNation subscribers.
  6. I don't even think its that complicated. He probably just didn't want to make 138 so many times in a row. Wanted to eat good after winning fresstyle without worrying about weight. Lots of guys do it at Fargo
  7. Oh, got it. I was talking about FoxNation. Don't get me started on the non-wrestling accounts on Rokfin
  8. Rokfin is included as part of FoxNation? Or are you making a joke
  9. So you have to pay for a streaming service that is almost entirely political* (with some documentaries and other shows) and provides no other wrestling-specific value to wrestling fans, just to watch these cards? *not commenting either way on that because I don't want to open that can of worms
  10. Also, we don't even know how this ruling applies. It seems to have been only about previous JUCO athletes who are now in the NCAA sphere (and 2025 would have been their last year). This Arnold method is something that will test how far the ruling stretches
  11. Yea it apparently was finalized within the last week or two. Russia is favored at nearly every weight but will be some good matches in there.
  12. Iran vs USA 57 - Momeni vs Lee- Lee favored 61 - Javan vs Jax- No idea 65 - Amouzad vs Woods- Amouzad 70 - Yazdani vs Duke- No idea 74 - Emami vs Carr- Carr 79 - to be determined, almost certainly will be Nokhodi vs Haines- Whoever Iran Sends (Nokhodi) 86 - Ghasempour vs Zahid- Should be close 92 - Firouzpour vs Hidlay- Another close one 97 - Azarpira vs Snyder- They were close last time they wrestled 125 - Zare vs Wyatt- Zare Iran is the more proven team and has more sure things, but if Jax and PJ are legit on the world stage that would make a major difference. Also from 86-97 both teams are STACKED.
  13. So I found out that Asher Bacon is going to Faith. He is the #2 Recruit in class of 2029 and just made the Finals in both styles at Fargo (winning Greco but taking 2nd in Free). He will likely slot in at 157 for Faith, which gives them a huge boost. Wagner's slide down. That 157-285 run is going to be all nationally ranked guys. They also have Riley Crandall in class of 2029 who got Fargo 7th at 94lbs and will be a potential 106 for them
  14. I don't think there is anyone unbeatable at 92kg, with the right draw, I think he has a shot at gold
  15. He is massive and so strong. He seems to fade somewhat as matches go on, but he is so good and powerful that he gets off to big leads at the start.
  16. Hidlay into the finals! Takes Kurugliev down early, and the Greek gets hurt, then defaults out.
  17. He lost to Emami
  18. Yeah, I am curious what led to him being stopped in the first place
  19. Seth Gross goes 1-1 in Budapest and does not get pulled into repechage. Got teched 10-0 by KAZ, who lost a close match (4-3) in the semi-finals to Suda from Japan. Hard to use that to gauge how Jax stacks up internationally. Gross wrestles in the Russia-USA dual later this week that could help us better gauge where the US stacks up. I do seriously think Jax is a world title threat, as nobody at 61kg jumps out as a level above the rest (the way Ono was)
  20. I don't know about that, Mocco is better at Free in my opinion. He is 5-0 against Bechtold in Free but 0-1 against him in Folk (got dominated on top/bottom in S32 Finals). We would have to see Mocco get out from Merrill to say that he wins it in Folk
  21. And I think that tracks with him apparently going from constantly training in a HS room to going to Stillwater and training with Fix, RBY, Spratley and being coached by Zo/DT
  22. The 74kg bracket is insane- Salkazanov vs Takahashi match 1 Carr has to beat Bayramov, Toktomambeto and then the winner of Salk/Taka vs. Kuramagomedov JUST to get to Valiev in the finals.
  23. who is his cousin?
  24. They will have to fight hard to keep him- but no other school will be able to offer what AF offers and they have proven with Hendrickson you can be great there
  25. Adam Waters Injury Defaults out to Michael White of Indiana. Waters was up 6-0 when he seemed to pull his hammy on a White takedown. He tried to wrestle through it, but White scored another 11 points unanswered before Waters called it while trailing 13-6. Obviously, injury was a factor, but White looked really good on his comeback; he hand-fought like a machine, and once he smelled blood in the water, he never stopped pushing.
