  1. He is also a young man that is growing. It is not unreasonable to assume that he is growing out of 149 as evidenced by his failure to make 154 (70kg).
  2. Has it really been abysmal? Hamiti, Hendrickson, Parco, Amine, Cardenas are all multi AA’s. Throw in guys like Cooper Flynn, McGonagle, Fish, Whiting, Askey, Endene and probably 20 other guys in forgetting and it’s been a pretty fruitful transfer portal season.
  3. If Ybarra wrestled folkstyle like he does freestyle he would be in the mix as well. He beat Julian Farber and was right there with Dom Serrano at U23’s.
  4. I’d look for Schriever at 133. Peterson had offseason surgery
  5. I think Jamison intends to move up to 149 next year. His dad said that it was a very tough cut for him but he would do whatever is needed for the team.
  6. Kannon looked as big if not bigger than Taylor.
  7. @jajensen09 is Pinto going 174 next year?
  8. Good call on Webster & Mullen/Kueter. Those ones slipped by mind as first year starters. Barraclough made one post season start, right?
  9. Here is an attempt to pick one at each weight 125- Luke Lilledahl 133 - Cael Hughes 141- Ryder Block 149- Kaleb Larkin 157- Raphael Hipolito (maybe I am missing someone else at this weight...) 165- Beau Mantanona 174- Gabe Arnold 184- Max McEnally 197- Connor Mirasola HWT- Aden Attao
  10. Gable Steveson has signed with the Buffalo Bills! https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40250779/olympic-gold-medal-wrestler-gable-steveson-signing-bills
  11. The question is whether or not we actually believe that. If so, Cael could be an olympic champion at 97kg right now.
  12. Jett Strickenberger is a recent example. He was a NQ at 125 for WVU last year. Did not have a good NCAA tournament but had some nice wins over the year.
  13. If Carter goes 174 or 184 there would be a match up with KOT or Keckeisen. Both would be great.
  14. I believe that Jerry Best was a 3x DII National Champ.
  15. OK 4x undefeated champs are Kenny Monday (had one tie), Jerry Best, Teyon Ware, Kaden Gfeller, Daton Fix and Cael Hughes.
  16. Fan is short for fanatic. Lol
  17. I have not seen enough folkstyle either to make a proclamation of a title threat. His freestyle results have been very good. Fix seems to think he’s the real deal.
  18. I think he’s in the AA mix right off the bat. OK State always wrestles a tough schedule so we will know quickly where he stands. Crookham is the early favorite but is not head and shoulders above the rest at this point. What do you think Fly?
  19. He’s just excited about his guy. And while there have been quite a few 4xers in OK there have not been many undefeated 4Xers. And Hughes does have a nice hit list. The future is bright.
  20. Clearly he is already starting the descent and transforming his body. This just shows his dedication to making 197. Looks like he’s taking it seriously.
  21. Dustin Plott was so HEW that he never went on to any success after that match, he was just cooked - completely done. He definitely did not make a U23 freestyle team a few short months after that or come back and take second in the NCAA championships the following year...
  22. Yes, he is very talented. Will be the #1 heavyweight in his class. CIF state runner up last year to Cody Merrill
  23. Not necessarily transfer portal but Niko Sahakian has flipped from his commitment from ASU to Michigan.
  24. I wonder how he will do in folkstyle. He's a hammer in greco.
  25. Amine is a good sized 165. I cannot see him down at 157. Likely we see Fish redshirt.
