  1. As a former D2 wrestler, I found the level of D2 and D3 wrestling to be pretty equal to each other, with D1 being quite a bit ahead of both. If you want to think of it this way, D1 is is the MLB, and everything else (D2, D3, NAIA, etc) is a similar level of minor league ball. I had a teammate who was a 3x D2 qualifier and 1x All American, and he would get spanked by D2 champ who transferred out of D1 after not cracking the lineup. This isn't meant to disparage anyone or say that Endene can't compete in D1, but as a whole, D1 is a significant step up from D2/D3, etc.
  2. Expect? Absolutely not. If you want to entertain the idea that Hamiti could win, that's fine. But I highly doubt anyone outside of Stillwater is expecting Hamiti to win Edit: As others have pointed out, Mesenbrink and Hamiti are not the same weight. I assumed (likely incorrectly) that Jimmy was talking about Hamiti vs Haines
  3. Ethen Miller was up 8-0 on Van Ness first round of 2023 NCAAs before ultimately giving up a third period fall. I would call that destroying. Being up by one takedown? Not exactly destroying. It's one thing to have an early lead, it's a whole different thing to keep that lead for a full 7 minutes.
  4. Technically Berge did lose to Wyatt Sheets in the round of 12, famously the "34th seed", but Berge had to MFF the match (got a concussion in the quarters if I remember correctly).
  5. Match 3 of the 2017 World Team Trials Finals. You can't actually see it in the video, but after the match, Taylor kicked a brick and Cael set a chair on the stage. J'Den injured his knee early in the third, and DT and Cael weren't happy with the officiating the rest of the match.
  6. 5% pleasure 50% pain And 100% reason to remember the name
  7. Mizzou backups were at an open on Saturday and didn't have anyone at 133 for the dual. Gioffre supposedly got hurt in warmups, hence the backup at 149. Overall, not a great performance by Mizzou. Also, have to give credit where credit is due, and the Cowboys went out there and made Mizzou look as bad as they did.
