    Fischer was 4 time AA (4,3,44) I think. 3 time Big Ten champ. Also had a good freestyle career. Pan Am Champ i think. Last American to beat John Smith and Tom Brands, and had a great series with Cary Kolat. Kolat credits him as making him a better wrestler in the video below:

    I've come to terms with it (Penn States dominance) and even rooted for some of them in this tourney. That said, I definitely think teams will challenge them going forward. Sure PSU reset the record for points, but it felt like the rest of the schools jabbed back some. Had a great time following the full team standings this year. While last year was a little depressing. Don't crown 'em for next year just yet, but they do look pretty good.

    NIce List!! Though not quite on your lists level, and may have never wrestled free or greco. Mike Martin was a badass for Detroit Catholic Central in MI. Started wrestling as a junior, and won 2 state titles at heavyweight... do the math. He went on to be a star for UMich at D-Tackle and played in the NFL.

    Will be interesting to see if anyone transfers. So far I think there all pretty happy. But with the next few recruiting classes, someone prob want to.

    Very true. But might be his last to start for PSU, with the log jams they have. Guess I meant more of a "prove it" year, if still talking NFL terms.

    I think RTCs should start taking high schoolers in a full time freestyle track. Maybe pay their tuition and board. But they don't compete in folk anymore. But leave the rest of folk style alone, cause it's the best. Someone like a Facundo type (better at freestyle) could really benefit from this.

    Guess it was 7 perfect 10s in 76 for Camaneci. Her scores showed up 1.0, because before that, no one thought a 10 was attainable

    Camaneci is the goat to me, don't know any stats. I think she got multiple perfect 10s in the same Olympics tho, maybe 76? Check out some of those performances. Edit:Gymnastics goat that is.

    Iowa will be fine imo. Current team is pretty stacked. But they def should be focused on getting one of these super recruits still available if possible... Then they can continue to focus on portal.

    If they get Teemer, Caliendo makes the descent, and Sirbrecht wrestles tough, then they will have 3 title contenders at 157. That's a lot of points!!!!

    NFL was rough on QBs back then too. None of the Brady rules, etc. I think he said he'd play NFL if he was picked in the first round. No one was willing to do it, but they may have been scared he'd choose basketball anyway. NBA contracts are guaranteed all years, NFL not so much.
