  1. That's usually how it works. It just lacks the formality, which comes later, but in most cases a state bar association recommending disbarment is pretty serious. They wouldn't do that unless they felt like there were serious ethical rules broken, or other problems. In Eastman's case, what he did was so breathtakingly stupid, and then instead of apologizing he doubled down, they aren't left with much choice.
  2. Pretty much. Unless there's something they missed in the hearing about it. Or there's new evidence that hasn't been seen. We had a former county attorney who got disbarred for basically doing the same kind of thing.
  3. Costanza 13:7 "It's not a lie, if you believe it!"
  4. https://www.courthousenews.com/former-trump-lawyer-appeals-disbarment-recommendation-over-role-in-2020-election/ He's appealing it of course, but it's like pissing into the wind if they're recommending you be disbarred.
  5. You know Eastman got disbarred for his dishonesty right?
  6. Trump 7:16 "Well, you know, I mean, I'm the best Christian, and I'm not afraid to say it. Other people are Christians, but let me tell you, in all seriousness, no one loves God, or is more humble than me, it's a fact. Look it up, and you'll see. I put other Christians to shame. I always have because, I know how to get things done. It's what I do."

  8. A guy who hangs around poor people and prostitutes would have probably had a quick wit about him. I don't think Jesus would have been the type to get angry over a good joke.
  9. I tend to think that the people these holidays are based on would have a sense of humor. Apparently Jesus was pretty self deprecating.
  10. I had an economics professor once tell me that Trump's economic policies were a "f---ing disaster " This from a normally mild mannered guy who spoke with a nearly incomprehensible Irish accent.

  12. NATO leaked a memo sent to them by the State Department. It advised that a briefing for Trump should: Be a max of three pages long Should be mostly pictures Should praise Trump regularly or he wouldn’t read it.
  13. I'm still waiting to hear a winding explanation how this is acceptable or not a big deal but what people who happen to be Democrats did was worthy of going to prison.
  14. That sounds like something Trump would say, except he wouldn't be trying to be funny.
  15. I tend to believe Trump hasn't really read much in his life. During his first term he actually complained that daily intelligence briefings had too many words, and preferred to be shown graphs and charts that explained things. There's an outside chance he might even be functionally illiterate.

  17. You have hearings with your lawyer present to discuss bail. Also how was the law misapplied?
  18. It isn't mentioned but the Willie figurine is actually life sized.
  19. Some of these he's getting pretty close to.
