It's a fact that undocumented immigrants commit crimes at a much lower ratio than US citizens and permanent residents. Not saying everyone is perfect, but if I wasn't there with the right documents, I think avoiding anything that could alert the police to me is something I'd do. I wasn't born in this country. Neither was my wife. Her status is very clear as a permanent resident. It's still unsettling that one or both of us could get swept up.

1. But it's not a criminal violation. You aren't supposed to let your dog poop on public property without picking it up, because you can get fined. I don't think Trump can avoid lying or blaming everyone else for things. Literally everything is somehow somebody else's fault.
