  1. Mizzou losses on criteria. 16-16 and most match points was the deciding factor. Okie State won when it mattered on the mat. They won 2/3 matches where they were ranked way lower. Give them credit. Mizzou looked super flat today. Gotta clean up the attacks to finish. Hawks, has 0 offense from neutral. That knee grab or whatever it’s called seems to be all he has. Straight on blast doubles don’t work without setups. We have work to do, that’s obvious.
  2. R Elam losses 5-4 to Surber. Just not good wrestling today for the Tigers. Wow
  3. Jacques gets a TD to go up 3-1 on Gfeller. Reversal and ride out for Gfeller who gets the win. Mizzou down 6-3. Mizzou looking flat. Not a great road trip.
  4. Hart with the loss to Carter Young 4-2. Mauller wins at 149. Tied 3/3 after two matches.
  5. Lee will wrestle 1-2 matches at B10s and then MFF out. It won’t hurt his seed, he will lock up the #1 seed.
  6. Hart was in on a couple great shots, just couldn’t finish. He beats Schwartz next time.
  7. Injuries and sickness had some folks out for awhile. No matches since 1-14 vs Wyoming, so hopefully everyone got healthy these last 2-3 weeks and are ready to roll the rest of the way.
  8. Unless there are injuries, I would guess it’s the starting lineup going this weekend. Seeding for the B12 should be important. Not to mention some have missed a good chunk of time. Need matches for RPI.
  9. You might be correct about the amount. I could’ve heard wrong, wouldn’t be the first time lol. Whatever the reason was, he ended up at Mizzou and I couldn’t be happier. As far as the AWA kids not going to Wiscy, I have no clue. Could be Ben swaying them, but I don’t know that for sure. Both Askrens and Josh Wagnor all AWA coaches, attended and wrestled at Mizzou. We’ve had ties to Wisconsin for a long time, not just the recent AWA flood. To be honest, Mizzou, Northern Iowa and Minnesota seem to get the AWA kids. Hopefully we get Mitch, he would be a great addition. Just not sure why we weren’t all in on him during the initial recruiting process.
  10. Didn’t Askren say in FRL that Davis only offered 40% scholly and he was looking for a full ride. Believe he stated that only being offered that proved Wisconsin didn’t believe in him so that to him was a slap in the face. He did say that another school along with Mizzou was all in on him. But Brian Smith won him over saying he wouldn’t constrain Ben and let him wrestle his way instead of trying to make him conform.
  11. Very good documentary. I especially liked the part about his coaches finding out Cael was on a visit recruiting Brandon Courtney, and his grandfather and coaches taking RBY to that practice and him subsequently putting it on Courtney. Apparently Penn State wasn’t recruiting him prior to that. Amazing how things work out.
  12. Exactly what I was thinking about Mizzou, familiarity. O’Toole, Spray, Mocco, Pfleger, Whitling and Aeoden Sinclair all are already at Mizzou or on the way. Maybe even a couple I missed. Adding Mitch would only help in the chase for our first Natty Championship.
  13. Minnesota maybe. They have a committ, Charle Millard, an AWA kid around the same weight. I’m sure if they got Mitch they would figure it out lineup wise.
  14. I’m hoping it’s Mizzou. Might be the year after next, but O’Toole will move to 174, and Mitch could slide right in at 165. If Mitch can hold 157 for next year, he would probably be the instant starter replacing a graduated Jacques. Then make the move up the following year.
  15. Yes, you’re correct, I was thinking Bartlett but for some reason kept typing SVN.
  16. I have PSU winning. Close, 18-15, 20-12. For some reason, I don’t see SVN going on bottom to allow woods to try for the tilt. I think SVN can beat him from Neutral. After 4 min, I believe the match is SVN to win. Woods tank isn’t deep yet, and if close after 1.5 periods, SVN wins a close one.
  17. There isn’t anyone. That’s the knock on the weight. After Lee, there is no one else even close including Glory. Probably the weakest and most shallow weight
  18. I wouldn’t, it would be him and Lee 1/2. His resume just wouldn’t scream #2 seed. Idk his schedule, but I don’t think he’s faced anyone top 15.
  19. Wrestled 133 again tonight beating Koehler of Rider. Will his lack of matches/resume affect his seeding at NCAAS? Obviously Lee will get the one, but does Glory really deserve a top 2-4 seed with such limited matches.
  20. If I’m Penn St I weigh Steen in, start at 125 and then forfeit. Don’t give Lee the chance to fire up Iowa. Let Teske be the actual first match. RBY wins by major, thus giving the advantage to State.
  21. Possibly. Maybe they thought with him at 133, they could win both 125/133 to try and win the dual. Couldn’t be sure either way. Just would hope he’s a full go at NCAAS for making weight. Can’t be easy making 125 multiple days in a row at this point.
  22. Saw he weighed in at 127.
  23. Both Harmon and Clayton Whittling are in the 184 bracket. Could face off in the finals should both make it. Mizzou is deep at 184, with Hawks as well. I’m not in the room or close to the program, but it would seem, the pecking order is Hawks, Harmon and Clayton. It’s going to be interesting how it shakes out over the next couple of years, who gets in the lineup and who doesn’t.
  24. In the extra match at 133,, Eric Lovelace defeats Josh Kyle 6-3. Both graduated from Francis Howell in Mo. Same school as Sammie Henson. Lovelace is the son of former Mizzou Wrestler Dan Lovelace. Josh is the son of former state medalist Alex Kyle and the nephew of Mo legend Ethan Kyle. Who wrestlerd at Okie state, former Coach on the Wyoming staff and current head coach at Stillwater High.
