  1. Who gets knocked out? If anything Snyder gets the #4 seed and he's wrestling in the finals against Taz or Sadulaev. Dake gets the 2 seed and wrestles Sidakov in the finals. Theres 2 wrestlers right there that benefit with the Russians in. No one at 86kg that Brooks couldn't have beaten. Zain finds himself in a similar spot and Spencer proved he can hang with any Russian in the world
  2. Unfortunately. Below is the schedule for the US and Seabass starting @5am est. If Seabass advances he'd slot in to the 7th match and if Zain he'd slot into the 8th match for Bronze 05:00Men's Freestyle 65kg Repechage (#334) MDAMaxim SACULTAN PURSebastian C RIVERA 2nd on Mat BMen's Freestyle 65kg Repechage (#335) USAZain Allen RETHERFORD ALBIslam DUDAEV 11th on Mat BMen's Freestyle 97kg Bronze Medal Match (#344) USAKyle Frederick SNYDER 15th on Mat BWomen's Freestyle 76kg Final (#348) USAKennedy Alexis BLADES JPNKAGAMI Yuka
  3. Jordan only won One Olympic gold. Goes to show how hard the Olympics is
  4. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie? Because I'm pretty sure I said those exact words to you
  5. Thats what I assumed. But, @HumblestMumble had me doubting for a second
  6. @Eagle26 Was a little confused myself on Dakes tkd. This is what i found but it takes a law degree to litigate Freestyle rules "In all cases, in standing position, if one of the attacking wrestler’s foot is in the protection area, which is outside the passivity zone, the referee will not interrupt the bout and will wait for action to be completed."
  7. Do the American coaches need to study the Uzbekistanis on how to pin the Japanese? Asking for a lot of haters
  8. Not the point of the post. Just some particular posters claiming everyone is overrated etc etc
  9. Yeah. He got blanked on counters. So your plan is to what? Let's hear it. Wrestle harder? Be more aggressive? What shots should he set up?
  10. So you're confirming you didn't watch their previous match
  11. So you're saying Jordan Burroughs is overrated?
  12. Did you not watch their previous match?
  13. Have always wanted to go to Japan. Every time I've talked to someone who has it's always the same impression. Astonished by the organization, discipline, focus, every other synonym you can think of. I'd imagine the Japanese wrestling team follows the same philosophy as their famed metro system
  14. I believe Cox was the slippery mat
  15. There is and there is also a counter argument to it that was so eloquently explained by Coach Beard in season 1 of Ted Lasso
  16. Rule #1. Don't engage with this fella. His track record on accurate analysis is close to zero
  17. Thought you were hitting the gym?
  18. Who knows. The guy who beat him at World's (Osman) didn't medal.
  19. How fast can we get you to Paris and in Kyle's corner?
  20. I don't know if anyone said 6 and was being serious but this team had a lot of hype and I was one who believed in it. I did set my over/under medal count (G/S/B) at 3.5 medals.
  21. I think one issue is a lot of US wrestling fans come over only during the Olympics and only have the info from the headlines they read or from social media posts. Kyle Dake is a great example. If you follow somewhat you'd know he lost to Sidakov at worlds. Sidakov is out now Dake is a lock. What a lot of these fans didn't know is at that World's he lost to Sidakov he wrestled Takatani and won by the slimmest of margins and the match could've gone the other way.
  22. Great post. I think it's ok to show some frustration with this particular olympic team. It's ok to question our wrestlers strategy. Question if the coaches prepared them correctly. Constructive criticism is a positive not a negative. But, like you've pointed out the vitriol and hate towards our wrestlers has been absolute garbage.
