I could have seen them adding the 7 pounds that first year to allow for the stricter wt. cutting....rubber suits, saunas, etc. and then after the adjustment to that, bringing back the weights minus the 7 pounds ....118, 126......197, HWT.

OMG....that's pretty good!!! Kind of made my day....lol. I'll work on a list of top 20 or so and post soon. How about Andy Daniels vs. John Azevedo 1978 NCAA finals ....Daniels fall :30, which reminded me of an unbelievable high school match at the Dapper Dan in 1990 two, I believe undefeated 4 time state champions......the arena went dead silent.

Yep ....that belongs on my list as well.....McIlravy came out of red shirt right before Big Ten's and moved one of the Steiner's to strengthen the Hawkeye lineup. Super match....Lincoln got Abas tired and turned it up in the third period to come from behind to win 16-15...barn burner....good call.

Although they were really a wt. class apart and Sergei had not been training.....Belaglozov vs. Smith (maybe a $10,000 match) Grand World Wrestling Championships Pittsburgh....FADZAEV vs. Carr in the same event. Gilbert vs Brands was 33-19, and the Big Ten Final was controversial....sure looked like Gilbert had Brands pinned (half nelson).
