  1. I predicted PSU, 27-6. I under predicted the PSU bonus points, but if Davis was healthy and wrestled and you give Ayala a DEC over Davis, instead of the tech its 30-6. Not bad!
  2. 125: Lilledahl dec Cruz. 3-0. PSU 133: Ayala dec Davis. 3-3 141: Bartlett MD Block. 7-3 PSU 149: SVN dec Parco. 10-3 PSU 157: Kasak Dec Teemer. 13-3 PSU 165: Mesenbrink MD Caliendo. 17-3 PSU 174: Haines dec Kennedy. 20-3 PSU 184: Starocci MD Arnold. 24- 3 PSU 197: Buchanan Dec Barr. 24-6 PSU 285: Kerkvliet dec Kueter. 27-6 PSU Bonus Fantasy Finale: Cael pins both Brands Bros simultaneously in a 1 vs 2 matchup.
  3. They did wrestle at the Black Knight Invitational and LL won not by a huge margin but in a very controlled way.
  4. As a PSU fan here, I think Haines was just shy of a TD, though incredibly close. I also think that the KOT TD was premature as he never cleared his head. He probably gets that eventually, though. All that said, it was a sensational match by two of the best college wrestlers in the nation. IMO, it’s a complete toss up moving forward. If they wrestled 100x, each guy would win 50.
  5. You think Askren may side with Haines on the TD? If you’ve listened to him talk about his guys enough, I think that’s unlikely. Either way it was really close.
  6. He beat Mirasola, 11-0, at the Black Knight Invitational.
  7. The win over Connor Mirasola is especially impressive. Connor is a stud who would likely AA this year as a true Freshman, if he wasn't redshirting. Barr will be a problem at 197 come March.
  8. I noticed you didn’t answer his question. Winning what?
  9. It’s incredibly impressive that Sasso is apparently able to wrestle again at all. However, what % of the old Sasso will he be after the injury he sustained? 50%, 60%? Now add in that he’s wrestling up two weights and it doesn’t bode well against Mesenbrink. I respect the Hell out of Sasso, but I don’t like his chances here.
  10. I’m gonna say PSU wins it, maybe something like 29-6.
  11. I’m most interested to see how the young freshmen, Davis and Kasak, bounce back after two tough losses.
  12. From everything I’ve read, it’s 90% or better that Carter does NOT return. Facundo will be at 174 next season.
  13. Amine did more backpedaling that match than an NFL cornerback.
  14. McKee’s 3rd period tonight was pitiful.
  15. Whether he missed or not, he threw a punch. The DQ was warranted.
