a tech fall should still be set at 15 though.   You could make an argument we should make it 30… I’m not sure yet

Hear me out.   People will get crazy aggressive in the early periods to get a take down.  It will be like the Roman coliseum gladiator fights.   One shot one kill essentially.

we can have mandatory stalling calls every 30 seconds.   But like freestyle they just have to alternate between the competitors.  The first period will now be 3:10 to make sure we get all 6 stalling calls.  There will be no warnings.  each stalling penalty will be 4 points.

The should also be more forever challenge bricks that take an eternity.   Fans love this because who knows what will happen.  Every 45 seconds or so we should have one.  Most will end in no change.   Or like a 2-2 we can’t understand why it occurred.   We should make the rules so confusing no one knows what the call is or how it was made.   Hopefully the judges here will not be as corrupt as the ones on the world stage…. But they will be worse probably because no one understands the rules

so if no td in first period.   Player a would get a stall at 30.  And be up 4-0.   Then player b at 1:00 will now be 4-4.  Etc.  the period will end 12-12 if no takedowns.

man just think about how many tech falls we will see.  Almost All marches probably

Gene says "tech falls are for wussies"

You can and will still get a pin you have to do it during the first takedown.   I would expect gene mills to still lead NCAAs in pins if this scoring system were adopted.

It'd work better without the tech fall. Late in the 3rd period, one of the announcers would typically note, "The great thing about the 102 pt takedown is that a takedown and rideout can still win the match."

Good point.  Never thought of that

The year after the implementation of the 102 pt. takedown, I will lobbying for the 102 point reversal.  This is really going to mess up WrestleKnowNothing's model.

What would you do with near fall?

Nothing.  After a year of no near falls because everyone gets cut loose after a TD out of fear of giving up a 102 pt. reversal, there would be no near falls.  The only near falls would be on TDs straight to near fall.  Then the next year (2 years after the implentation of the 102 point TD) I would lobby for the 102, 103, and 104 point near falls in order to get more mat wrestling.

I would add that it should be one swipe for 102.  Two swipes for 103.  And three swipes for 104 to maximize the desire for more mat wrestling.

escapes are still worth one for some reason.  Gotta change that next year
