For all the wokesters that claim killing Hamas just makes more of them.  I think you’re about to experience the same.  Killing Charlie Kirk is just going to make his movement stronger.   Enjoy your karma sammich.

Jimmy and others on the other side of the aisle-

I condone and condemn the violence committed against him and others whether they are in the political arena or otherwise. It is a shame and I feel terrible for his family and above all his two young children.

I know temperatures are high right now especially on this board. Measured responses are probably best and cooler heads should prevail. If this was someone on the left I would probably be outraged beyond belief and can understand why some are on here. I certainly did not support his positions or stance on things and believe things he has said have been very inflammatory but it shouldn't take a father from his daughters.

Charlie Kirk however is not the first political assassination that has happened in our lives and won't be the last unfortunately. Just recently democratic lawmakers were killed in their homes in front of their kids by someone posing as a police officer. Also a political assassination.

This should serve  to remind us that we should all treat human life with the dignity that it deserves but also the potential consequences of both sides continually trying to out do each other with incendiary comments. I'm hearing lawmakers on the news say things like "our enemies in this country" and "we have to fight to take it back from these people"

It confuses me because we are all Americans in the country. We shouldn't continue to "other" those that we don't agree with that are fellow citizens. We need to learn how to better share our ideas without dehumanizing each other in the process because it leads to a lack of respect for our fellow Americans and and their sanctity of life and results in horrible acts such as this one.

I do appreciate your take on what happened today and the fact you condemn it.  There are people on here on your side that won’t.   That being said please go to the first page of the “WTF Charlie” thread and look at the response Trip N Sweet made to the original post.  That’s where the anger comes from for me personally.  If there is someone on my side of the aisle that’s responded the same way to any murder with a GiF like he did “ oh no.  Anyway” I haven’t seen it.  I’ll wait for you to condemn it with a comment to know you’re as sincere as you seem to be.   And if you find something similar from my side send it over as I’ll do the same.

Here was @El Luchador’s first post in the thread about the Minnesota lawmakers being shot.  Some of the first replies from @Offthemat and @Caveira tried to immediately imply it was a lib by posting the claims about her voting against healthcare for illegals and the “No Kings” flyers in his car.

I am not one for being forced to prove my sincerity by complying with what others deem is either acceptable or unacceptable.

That being said, I would not have responded with that gif knowing full well what the response would be. I believe it was intended to illicit the kind of response and anger from those of you that find it reprehensible and they succeeded in that vain.

It seems everyone on here at some time or another has said something to "trigger" another whether it be after a shooting, about gender identity, political issues, immigration etc... I don't think it is necessary to dig through threads to paste gifs or responses that I or others found offensive that yourself or others may have posted in the past. I think we can all look in the mirror and own that we all have probably crossed that line and we don't always know when or what topic that finally does go past that line.

The one point I think I can get behind if you're trying to make it, is that we should hold those on "our side" accountable when they do something we know in our fabric to be in bad taste, rude, incendiary etc...

That being said, Trip- if we are going to try to demand moral standards from those we disagree with- we need to walk the walk too.

Charlie's whole game was let's discuss it. Let's have a civil discussion and let's try to understand each other's point. This is unacceptable to the left most every issue they hold dear is quickly refuted with minimal analysis. This is why there is no left Rogan. Deep analysis never favors the lefts positions. This why they are collapsing. They had control of the schools and media and could force feed their agenda without the inconvenience of alternative views. Critical thinking had to be eliminated then people could be told how to think. Then long form discussion came along and people quickly learned they had been filled full of BS. Now they are out of options so why not shoot your opposition.

Those things still work against your position. They didn't go away but for some reason the media wasn't intended in the details beyond their assumptions.

I’m not forcing you to do anything.  Didn’t realize you could do that on social media.  Yep we can all look in the mirror and we all should as I know I’ve crossed the line. Mostly in a rebuttal to someone doing the same though which then leads to more of the same from both sides. The difference today is I’m pretty sure I’ve never gone as far as he did basically stating that  he didn’t care that someone died. Banter is one thing.  Death is different.

Where did any of those comments state they didn’t care someone was just murdered?.

My first post says quote “You two are pretty much human trash.”

I didn’t add context.  I was referring to the trash bag comments trip whatever and the Viking said.  My second post was a video of someone on msnbc saying maybe the shooter was a right wing whatever celebrating his right to have guns…. And just shooting whatever moronic idea he had

Big deal.  Neither went nearly as far as saying they didn’t care someone was murdered

@JimmySpeaks asked about reactions to “any other murder.”

I pointed out some of the reactions to another political assassination.  Immediately trying to blame it on the left.  Which is kinda ironic since the same people trying to blame leftists for killing Democrat politicians seem to think it’s impossible that anyone but a leftist killed Kirk.

So you’re saying it’s not a leftist that killed him???? Please show your proof.
