Why Does the U.S. Support Israel?

This boogeyman scenario that if the Palestinians were allowed to vote, they would ethnically cleanse the Jews from Israel is nothing more than projection from the point of view of the oppressor, Israel, because that's what they've been trying to do.

In reality, it could never, ever happen. The entire Western world would intervene to prevent retribution against Israelis in that scenario. It's nothing more than a scare tactic to justify the unjustifiable position that one group of people doesn't deserve equal rights based on their ethnicity.

You act like Jews in a one state solution would be immediately powerless. The IDF would still exist. They would still control the majority of wealth in the region. They would still have significant representation in government, possibly even a majority of elected representatives. The major difference is that the country wouldn't discriminate against one ethnicity BY LAW.

This may shock you, but Arabs and Jews lived in relative peace in Palestine for a long time before Israel showed up. Palestinians literally took refugees from the Holocaust into their homes (at the same time our government did not let them enter the country).

Muslim antisemitism - which is a problem - is a mostly modern phenomena, largely as a result of the conflict over Palestine.

Historically, Muslims treated Jews MUCH BETTER than European Christians. These prejudices are significantly impacted by historical context. They can change. A peaceful and equitable solution in Israel is the most promising way to undo these harmful prejudices.

How many Palestinians currently live in Israel?   How many Jews were living in Gaza prior to Oct 7, 2023?   It would just become a bigger Gaza whether you believe it or not.

There would be a large peace-keeping force present to protect Jews and Muslims from recriminations from the other side.

You're living in a fantasy world where as soon as Muslims achieve 50.1% of power in the government they immediately have the ability to kick out all the Jews and cleanse the land. That's not how the real world works, buddy. Read. A. Book.

Equitable for Israel isn’t a one party state. Never can be as long as there are extremists in a certain religion.

You’re the one that says even under a free election the world would step in and ensure nothing happens to the Jewish people.  That’s not a free representative government Then. Good grief.
