Well if using the word “lie” that specific definition does talk about the intent to deceive as well.  So I’d say a hyperbole is not true, but it’s also not always a lie.

FIFY.   If something is not true, then it is false, which a lie is.   In this case what you said was that it isn't true, but it also isn't a lie.   Based on Lipdrag's explanation, hyperbole might be used to make a valid point, but it is not based on truth necessarily.   Trump is Hitler is a lie and is not true.   All MAGA are fascists also is a lie and not true.   Everyone is a racist but my team is also a lie and not true.   And these are not helpful or making a valid point.   They are just hysterical vomiting of those saying them.   Aesop's fables are not true, but the point they make is valid.   So they have some worth.   Trump drives me crazy is hyperbole.   Anyone that lets Trump drive them crazy has an issue and I'm guessing most don't experience that diagnosis.   But some of the things he does I wonder at.   But no one drives me crazy or I'd be in the loony bin.   One might be exasperated, but not crazy.   Crazy is altogether a whole other level.   It is a simple hyperbole meant to  convey exasperation figuratively and not literally.

Is TDS hyperbole, a lie, both or fact?  😉

Wow, you got me there.

TDS is mostly hyperbole but based on observable behavior.

TDS proves a valid point that people are obsessed with hating Trump and will say and do crazy things as a result.

I put it up there with the Aesop's fables, an exaggeration to describe a valid point.
