I'll  ask you the same thing I've asked others. What exactly is the National  Guard going to do here? Pull people over for speeding? Arrest people for what? Please tell me.

Is the definition of violent crime the same as it was the last 30 years?

BTW, I was right near the White House a few years ago for a few nights. Zero crime issues in that area from what I saw. I walked around late at night by myself with zero concerns. Wouldn't do that ANYWHERE in Memphis, TN or Birmingham, AL or any of the other numerous cesspools in the dirty south.

I've been to Memphis, some of the best BBQ, never had an issue or concern so that proves it correct rv?

There's lots of links on here; not gonna waste my time sifting through the B.S. If you can't link it, I'll assume you don't have an answer to what these tools are actually going to do in DC.

Yah; the best BBQ joint just happens to be a block from where MLK, Jr was murdered. Great neighborhood.

I’ve been to Memphis 4 times in the last two years.  I didn’t see anything either.  Probably must  make the city safe right ?

You would think the capital of the US where the president, all our judges and people of Congress reside would be much safer than any other city in the country.  It’s far from that

REad the first few paragraphs and it's still not clear WTF the troops exactly did. As far as I'm concerned, you had 800 troops picking their noses.

And there are plans to deploy more.   So I bet it’s north of 800 by now.

So what will they be doing besides looking like tough guys? If I go murder somebody in DC is it the National Guard that is going to arrest me?

Quick question.  Why.  If you have no idea what they will be doing.  Why would one protest them being there so much?   You can’t be worried about what they’re doing if you do t know what they are there to do.

Hmmm...let me think about how I'd feel if I had armed military (from outside areas) walking down my own street. I guess you're right. I would love that and go out and gift them cheese and wine.

Maybe have the locals stop committing so much crime.

Let me know when you come up with something that the Nat Guard will actually be doing that's not a waste of taxpayer dollars.
