I know it’s going to be automatically dismissed on here by some because of who the guest is and what they’ve been told to think, but for anyone who enjoys just sitting back open minded and listen to two people talk and share information, this is a really good listen. Gavin Newsome on Shawn Ryan show.

Gavin is tying to politically rebrand himself as someone who has not made Cali more horrible or worse than when he got there to make a political run for president.

All politicians do this eventually but you shouldn’t think of it other than that.

Thank you for your well rounded advice. And for being the first to jump at being an example of what I said at the beginning of the post.

Anyway, if you’re interested in sitting and listening to two people have a good conversation and share information with open minds, it’s a really good listen.

No thanks.  I know what fake azz political rebranding sounds like.  You sucked yesterday (Gavin) but y’all should ignore all that bad shyte and say why I / he  should be president.

That line again 😂. You’re not fooling anyone.

I applaud Rasta's open-mindedness, and I am not afraid to listen to Bernie Sanders interviews, for instance.  Newsome, however, seems to be the ultimate political creature and will say whatever he needs to get votes.  It all depends on the audience he is trying to woo.  I have seen excerpts of this and the fakery was revolting.  Great looking guy though.  Great teeth.  Nice smile.  Fantastic hair.

I'd rather listen to someone I disagree with be 100% honest.

I saw excerpts too before just running the whole thing through (which I still have a little more to go, four hours isn’t going to happen in one sitting, or even two for that matter).  But the excerpts don’t get it.

Not trying to convince anyone how they should feel about the guy.   It’s just a good conversation between two people who aren’t exactly on the same side of everything.  Might I add a conversation that includes a lot more data, statistics, and factual information from both people, than pack messaging.  Like I said at the beginning, it’s not going to be comfortable for someone of the pack mentality who goes with what they’re told to think, but for open individuals who enjoy hearing out opposing view points it is very worthwhile.

Whom am I trying to fool ?

Only you can answer that question.  And I guess I shouldn’t say you’re not fooling anyone, your sham is working on some. So I apologize I didn’t give you enough credit.

What is my sham?

Your talk of “all politicians are trash, every single one of them”.  But yet your practice is far far different.  As evidenced by you will jump on anything or anyone that may go against what you’ve been told to think.  Even when, by your own admission, you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.   And your extreme focus on defending other politicians who are favored by those telling you what to think, even when you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Part of the problem is refusing to hear anything that might make you uncomfortable. As you’ve displayed, once again, in this thread.   But I will hold on to  hope and pray for you.

I believe you were trying to say Newscum

I said what I wanted to say. You must have missed his conversation with Tucker Carlson.  I saw a few minutes of that.  “It’s not fair for boys to compete against girls.”  But they still do in California.  He dropped medicaid for illegals when congress made it illegal to use federal funds for them.  Here’s a rundown on recent tax hikes in California:

Recent Tax Increases in California

Cannabis Excise Tax

  • New Rate: 19% (up from 15%)
  • Effective Date: July 1, 2025
  • Impact: This increase is expected to further strain the struggling legal cannabis industry, which has seen a significant drop in sales.

Gas Tax

  • New Rate: 61.2 cents per gallon (up from 59.6 cents)
  • Effective Date: July 1, 2025
  • Reason: This increase is part of an annual adjustment based on the California Consumer Price Index.

Payroll Tax for Higher Earners

  • Change: Elimination of the wage cap on income subject to the State Disability Insurance (SDI) tax.
  • Effective Date: January 1, 2024
  • Purpose: To fund increased family leave benefits for low-wage workers.

Income Tax Overview

  • Rates: Ranges from 1% to 12.3% based on income brackets.
  • Additional Tax: 1% on income over $1 million for mental health services.

Sales Tax

  • Average Rate: 8.85% (combined state and local)
  • State Rate: 7.25%, with local taxes increasing the total in some areas.

Property Tax

  • Average Rate: 0.68% of a home's assessed value.
  • Variation: Rates can differ significantly based on location and property ownership duration.

These tax increases reflect California's ongoing efforts to address budgetary needs and fund various state programs, despite concerns from residents about the high cost of living.

Nuff said.

The epitome of this is trash.  He was trash.  And is now trying to tell people why he won’t be trash later.  It’s fake.  I don’t want to call it out and out lies but it essentially is.  A publicity Stunt to get those outside of Cali to like him for future future federal elections

Career Politicians are trash.

“I watched a few minutes of that”….nuff said.
And you know you meant to say Newscum, otherwise you would have spelled the name correctly.  And it was still a swing and a miss 😂😂

PS- yes I watched the conversation with Tucker. More than a few minutes. And it’s well known I’m no Tucker fan, but I do watch his show.  Listening and trying to understand someone I may not agree with does not bother me

Oh so now you’re shifting.  So it’s no longer “every single one of them”???

Surprise surprise.

Shawn Ryan would be perfect for PBS. He is so mono tone and low energy I just can't listen to him. That and he is an Sig shill. I hate that company.

Love the guy.  He is very monotone I’ll give you that, his audio advertisements can put you to sleep.  But love his show and love listening to him on other podcasts.  Very much conservative but open to talk to and listen to anyone.

It doesn’t bother me, either.  Listen all you want.

Just finished up the last segment.  Ryan’s last words were “I’m just gonna be honest with you a lot of my opinions of you have changed”.

Amazing how talking and listening with open minds can give you a better picture than the “surround sound”
