There's nothing new to report. Most people who have a functional brain can read between the lines and figure out that Trump just kept the trophy and never had any intentions of returning it. The Club World Cup is different from the actual World Cup that is being held next year. The players in the CWC don't really care because the CWC has had a few different iterations, and they are all highly paid professionals who are paid very well to play. The trophy isn't as meaningful or iconic as the actual World Cup trophy. To them it's more of an annoyance and something they can laugh off. It would be like if all the best basketball teams from professional leagues around the world held a tournament to see who the best was. Probably all of those players would be extremely wealthy already, and being paid extra for this, so to them these things are somewhat trivial and a joke because they are playing for money and bragging rights. Just an example, suppose LeBron James team won something like that, I doubt he'd do much more than laugh about how stupid it was to keep the trophy and pocket a medal. So to other highly paid athletes it's not as serious as the World Cup. 

People know Trump is a career con artist and a thief. He's proven it many times with his actions. So it's not surprising he would just keep the trophy and pocket a medal he didn't earn, because he knows he's more likely to get away with it because he's president. Kind of like when he admitted to peeping at teenage girls undressing backstage at a beauty pageant he owned.

Well, to be fair, many many people are on record saying they know he’s a piece of s**t but they’d rather vote for that than the alternative. When you have two horrible options, you end up with a horrible option.

Anyone else stealing a medal would have been tackled, cuffed, and taken to the local jail. His status protected him.

Trump is a multiple-decade repeatedly proven liar, criminal, and thief.

Stealing a medal he didn't earn or trying to accept some golden award he didn't earn is exactly who he is.

His tiny, senile, mush brain mind sees these things as victories.

But he's no more pathetic than those that support it. They are the real problem.
