He learned that MMA isn't wrestling. Guys don't care about how great of a wrestler you are. Because wrestling in MMA is very different.

Did he have wrestling experience?  I’ve seen comments claiming Bo got outwrestled which would seem crazy

He didn't get out-wrestled. But there was very little wrestling. Bo got the only TD. RdR tried some upper body stuff that Bo stopped easily.

He did get reversed and spent more time on bottom though. I'm not a MMA person, but I don't know that I would attribute that to wrestling. 

Can't say I've seen someone go down that "easily" before at that level.
