I think Tagen can make the weight, I'm just not so sure he should. I previously thought Vega could go 133, but he is looking a little thicker as of late, which is not a bad thing

I'm really curious to see what the line-up looks like next year. It feel like the different possibilities make it impossible to really predict. We don't know which returners are changing weights, transfers are still likely to be brought in, and which true freshmen are going to be ready to step into the line-up and be favorites to AA in year one?

Sergio is outstanding, if you are not as good as him he is going to kill you. I was pretty surprised when he lost to Mendoza at ironman he just could not get through the head hands and mendoza picked his spots really well to avoid being in on the leg where Vega is comfortable. I think improving in the handfight is probably what he needs the most. I honestly think he has the frame to be a 149 I would assume the future projection for okie state is Jax 141 vega 149 unless they suck Jax down to 133 and go Jax and one of vega and hughes at 141 and 149. I am not sure about the weight allowance at dapper dan because Vega finished the season at 144 which was 146 with the 2lbs.

Sure - we used to have that problem in PA.  Seems like Penn State and a few others have reversed the flow of wrestle talent drain.  Of course, Basset got away on a well worn path.

Vega is a freak.  Manhandled two of PA's best in Perry a few months back, and Parkins this past weekend.  He's D1 ready now but I do think he'd benefit from a redshirt, and then be part of the '26-'27 OSU team (with Robideau, Lockett, Ross, Forrest, etc) that will be PSU's first real challenge in years.

It almost feels like ASU is a feeder program now - not exactly sure when that happened. They've always been good at attracting CA talent (and still are).

I am really excited to see the potential rematch with Basset at u20's I think Bassett beat him 14-12 and had to come from behind but vega was really small for 65kg then.

I agree (Vega is a freak) and disagree that he is D1 ready now. IMO, he'd benefit from a year in a college room. As @Truzzcat mentioned, he would benefit from some heavy hand fighting and improvement on his feet. Watch his matches against Mendoza and Grajeda (don't know who that is? You will in a few years).

Again, not taking anything away from him, obviously.

Once grajeda settles into his weight he is going to be a problem. Those monster garage guys are the real deal he had davnio on the ropes at u17's as an 8th grader I believe.
