For what it's worth, Steveson was working out regularly with the Gophers and the Minnesota RTC in the year leading up to the 2024 Olympics.  My understanding is that he had hoped to compete in the Olympics if it worked out with his WWE obligations.  Ultimately the WWE but the kibosh on that idea, and then cut him shortly thereafter.  I don't remember the exact timing, but I think it was just weeks before the Olympics and Mason Parris was already set as the team member.

I am good with this.  I understand your point, I just don't agree to it.

Had this been a question three or four years ago, I likely agree with you.  NIL and all of that has changed the game entirely.
