I don't have any hopes for 2025. Electing such a monumentally unqualified person is going to have negative consequences for years.

This is not going to be pleasant or fun. The sole reasons he even ran again were to get revenge against people he doesn't like and to avoid going to prison. Hopefully at least he is going to face some consequences, being a convicted felon is not a good look at all. Unfortunately he probably won't go to prison.

Trump is a product of lazy anti intellectualism, people who cannot think for themselves, and angry fringe racists/xenophobes. He doesn't stand for anything unless it benefits him in some way.

Get ready for a kleptocracy that is going to put the post Berlin Wall USSR to shame. There is nothing he won't say, do, sell, or take action on if it has a positive outcome for him personally. This is going to be like watching, in slow motion, a clown car crashing into a port o potty truck.

It's worse than his first go around because now everyone knows what he's capable of and that people voted for this train wreck again is baffling.

That’s as bad a case of constipation as I’ve ever seen.

Maybe it's because what you think is going to happen is completely false and absolutely ridiculous.  You were fed a narrative by legacy media and you bought into it hook line and sinker.  And the irony of it is that you are calling over half of the United States population lazy anti intellectualism, people who cannot think for themselves, and are angry fringe racists/xenophobes.  Enjoy your next 4 years living in fear of things that aren't going to happen.

I don't really watch TV, and most of the news I read isn't US based. So you are wrong on that.

Also yes, Trump has found a way to bring the angry fringe people and validate their fears of things that will not happen ever. Like lying about immigrants, etc. This is a presidential candidate who straight up embraces white nationalists who make no bones about their dislike of various minorities.

I don't even want to get into the havoc he will bring on the economy.

Do you like just making extreme statements because you don't like someone...who you have and never will meet...because he is of a different political affiliation than what you vote for?  Is that not intellectually lazy??  You do realize he was supported by Hispanic community, right?  And pretty much had support from people of all ethnic backgrounds.  Are they stupid voters too?  Are they "angry fringe people and validate their fears of things that will never happen ever"??  And aren't you validating your fears of things that will never happen ever??

The comments you and people like Red Viking like to make are made every election cycle and poof, 4 years go by all of a sudden we are in a new election cycle and people will develop new and/or recycle the same rhetoric and outrageous claims about the candidate they aren't voting for and we just repeat it all...all the while we may be a little better in some areas and little worse in others over the past 4 years.

Produce some evidence of this.  A vid or something perhaps?

Yet somehow you have the tv narrative memorized.    Somehow.

Trump began his political career with a racist lie that he perpetuates to the present. I do not believe somebody who is lazy and dishonest like that has any admirable qualities as a person nor are they somebody who shows any leadership abilities.

My biggest concern about this is that it is a poor example to kids and young people that you can lie, cheat, commit crimes, and take no responsibility for your actions. Trump has mostly gotten away with this because he was born wealthy and never really told no.

His election just emboldens angry racists and hateful people. I had what I thought was a fairly innocent bumper sticker on my car and I still had my car keyed/scratched several times. A few years ago some clown tried to run me off the road and flashed a gun at me over a sticker on my old car. I sometimes run into people who now aren't afraid of saying stupid racist shit openly.

It's sad but we are just going to have to hopefully get past this with minimal damage.
