And it was the last time the U.S. Men's freestyle team competed in the Olympics, but did not win a gold modal. Kyle Snyder and Zain Retherford, two chances to keep the streak alive. Can they do it? alliseeisgold Posted August 10 Posted August 10 There was more weights back then but versus expectations this tops them all I recognize Snyder's ability to play up to his competition but frankly he hasn't done it in quite many years. Taz will roll him. Zain is going to lose a Metcalf grinder with a lack of freestyle fluidity. Both are coached by Sanderson. Just something to monitor tomorrow. Specifically zain late in matches.

I'm just saying there is a streak to keep alive tomorrow, regardless of the fact that it is more difficult to keep it alive these days.

152lbs Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Women made a great showing, and the men scored hardware in 3 of 6 weights so far. Dake and Snyder are beyond their prime and Lee has a questionable knee. Brooks lapsed in the waining seconds. Such is life. Overall, nothing to be ashamed of.
