ahh but is she?  Graf had a better overall record, more titles plus she won every grand slam at least 4 times.  Believe she was the only woman to win all 4 in single year & not only that but won the single year Golden Slam of all 5 including Olympics.  Williams only won French 3 times and didn't get even the carreer gold slam with no Olympics.

Serena has more grand slams than Graf (23-22), made more finals (33-31). She does, in fact, have Olympic gold - she won singles gold at the Olympics in 2012 (she also has three doubles golds). She also is the only player to win the career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles.

Graf is in the discussion, and is No. 2 in my book, but Serena is the better.
