And it’s best to leave your car pointed towards the road with a full tank of gas.

Would it be a good idea to carry a gun in case you get robbed by someone who doesn’t have one?  You could loan them yours.

I'd carry two, one unloaded to give to the robber, keep the loaded one for yourself.

We've had two cars broken into and in both cases would've preferred if they'd taken the whole car.

First one oldest son parked his car in nice neighborhood bro-inlaw driveway in IN.  Broke driver's side window stole a nice portable Garmin aviation GPS I'd loaned for trip and some loose stuff in glove box.

Second son parked car on street outside apartment summer intern in Memphis.  Broke passenger side rear window to steal a backpack with nothing of value inside.

Both windows a pain to replace, you'd think Garmin could've tracked the GPS but they didn't.  Both cars valued more on insurance than what we got for them couple years later.

Yes keep car pointed toward road, gas tank full, keys on dash & door unlocked and insurance current.

Here is an interesting note.   Thugs go from FL to NY because if they do their thuggery in FL, they go to jail.   As a result, there seems to be less thuggery in FL.
