I was posting in the wrong thread. OUCH

Kilty up 9-2 with about a minute to go.

She will have Russia next.

Expectedly so: China and Japan square off in the other semi-final.

She has Japan... which is safe to assume will be her toughest test since Blades beat her at the Open.

Gray looks thinner in the neck and shoulders than pre-pregnancy.

The Japanese lady looks to be about eight foot broad.

First minute - scoreless.  A lot of feeling out on both sides.  Japan warned for action first.

Ankle pick for Japan.  Takedown.

Japan is up 2-0 with 1M20S remaining in the first.  She does not get a turn.  Back on their feet.

Japan lost a contact.  Putting it back in.

I like her nail-job.

End of the first.  2-0 Japan.  Gray not really challenging at this point and Japan content with that.

Japan won Bronze last year, so she is no slouch and she is only 22 now.

Oh, the other way.  Gray is on the clock.  Shot by Japan.  Gray defends well.  Looking to turn, but Japan spreads the legs too far for her to (odd splits?).

Shot clock expires and Japan is up 3-0 with 1M50S remaining in the match.

Nvm I had that backwards. It is 2-1 not 3-0.  The clock was Japan.

Gray loses 4-1.  Very poor match strategy the last minute.  Not sure wtf was going on there.

My guess is Japan was just physically too strong for her to get anything going and she lacked that extra kick to give it a go at the end.

Trying to push her out down 3 with 5 seconds to go?

On this day, Japan was stronger, quicker and the better hand fighter. Bummer. I hope Gray is pulled back in.

Another match in which a couple of hard sprawls might've won. The chest wrap attempts failed both times.

Like I said... she just looks thinner than she did.  Less muscular.  And Japan was jacked.
