Wyatt Ingham...

He's a kid from Koy Hopke's HS.

The 45 from Cali...Estrada. Flipped from Wisconsin to Iowa. 2X State Champ...not sure if he's got a loss...but he was undefeated as a Soph, no tourney as a Freshmen. Looks like he's gonna be a perfect '49 in College. I don't really pay attention to recruiting rankings that closely, but he was 70th last I recall. He's definitely a top ~15 recruit.

And a kid coming in this year who I think could really surprise is Ethan Riddle. Kinda overshadowed by the likes of Sinclair, the Mirasola, Mesenbrink(who he beat as a Freshmen) and others. He's a Freshmen this year while the other two are '24.

Estrada lost to Root in their state qualifier (iirc) and then beat Root in state finals. Both were committed to Wisconsin and both flipped.

Estrada to Iowa and Root to UNC.

I have Estrada ranked 2nd at 145 and #28 on the SR Big Board.

Tyler Wells- Princeton MN.

Not necessarily rising, but kind of forgotten about because he stopped wrestling national tournaments due to family reasons and committed to D2 St. Cloud state. He’s now flipped to the gophers and will push for a starting spot instantly at 133. Was 164-1 in high school and took third at Fargo in 2021.

Yes, 3 Ohio guys who I think will have big seasons and move up in rankings.

I know Joy is the most familiar name of the 3, but still feel he is a bit underrated. Excited to see how all 3 do at Ironman and progress through the season.

He is realllly overlooked.  Probably because of the SCSU commit. Not even an HM or on anyone's big board.

4X state champ in 4 attempts (too small as 8th grader).

Highest winning percentage in Minnesota history 164-1.

15U World Freestyle champion.

Has wins over Zan Fugitt, Tyson Charmoli, Nate Jesuroga, Alex Braun, Kael Lauridson, Chase DeBlaere, all were/are highly ranked.

Wells seamingly disappeared from national competitions and the word i got was that he just wasn't into wrestling any longer.

which is why i removed him from the big board.

Ahh...thank you. I didn't know Root flipped. What the hell is going on there?

Reader and Gross are great coaches...I think Bono is pretty good.

Eh, whatever. It doesn't matter. But I remember when Estrada committed, I watched what I could find of him and...he definitely looked like a stud. I know at one point, Beau Mantanona, the #2 ranked '45 Parco's little brother(who ended up 3rd) plus the 12th and 13th ranked kids were all at 145 in Cali. The #2 ranked kid's name is slipping my mind, but it's a common name. Like...Martinez or something.

That would have been a fun tournament to watch.

Anyway, just shows, does not help to get in on these guys so early. Someone's just gonna come and pick 'em off.

I'll throw a Tennessee kid's name out there to bump this thread

Landon Desselle just committed to Ohio State. Fargo AA and Beast of the East AA as well. Tore his acl last year and medaled in Beast and Knockout xmas classic on one leg. Not wrestling at all during the offseason while rehabbing that injury kept him off these rankings. Hopefully we see him back to full form soon.

I have Estrada ranked 5th. though i don't know if he truly deserves that. i love his talent, he just rarely competes.

Riddle is no where near the names you put next to him.

Agree, but Riddle shows glimpses, like his 1 pt loss to Josh Barr on an overturned call, and wins over AJ Heeg, Noah Mulvaney twice, Han-Lindemyer, Burkett, Marco Christianson, etc.  Most his losses in the past year were up at 182 to pretty good people (Arnold, Naakteboren, Mirasola, Picklo).
