sitting here listening to the football game on the radio like it is 1950 and bouncing around the googlewebs...

India has had 3 wrestlers pop hot that were scheduled to wrestle at the Asian games in a little over a week...

which is about 12 of their athletes across multiple sports in last few months...

it has been widely suspected in the international community that the recent(ish) rise in India's results in wrestling are mainly due to doping...

i was talking to one of Canada's National team coaches recently and it came up in idle conversation and he was very straight forward about why he thought they were doing so well...

i have heard many other things about other big wrestling countries...

obviously, the russian doping has been a big thing in the past...

just musing over here...

They do seem to be the only country that can consistently match us in pace, however I was thinking that was more of a product of how they train and genetics/potential training and living at higher altitudes. I will say they seem to have guys and gals that are cutting a ton of weight and it rarely seems to hinder their performance especially in the bigger events. I have seen Aman who generally has insane cardio gas at 61kg + 2 in some ranking series and then at worlds put it on guys for 6 minutes at scratch 57.
