  1. Past hour
  2. The US team is really really strong this year. It seems like from 57-92kg they have gold medal contenders and have medal contenders at 97 and 125kg. Your guys' talent development in recent years is scary. It's going to be an interesting tournament seeing how our guys match up with yours.
  3. So let me get this straight. Republicans are hitting up a gay app and are pedophiles? Are you saying gay people are pedophiles?
  4. The gpt(s) answer to why the kc grocery store failed or is failing. A lot of hallmarks to classic D run cities…. Crime to be specific on that one What went wrong Crime, safety & environment issues Shrinking shopper traffic partly because people didn’t feel safe in or around the store. Issues cited include open-air drug dealing, loitering, vagrancy, some alarming incidents inside or near the store. CF.ORG+3Denver Gazette+3KCUR+3 Pieces of public infrastructure and policing in the area were weak despite efforts, hurting both perception and reality of safety. KCUR+2The Washington Post+2 Financial losses & shrinking customer base The store was operating at a loss. For example, one year loss was ~$885,000. The Washington Post+2CF.ORG+2 Shopper numbers dropped significantly: from about 14,000 weekly customers at one point to ~4,000 (or even fewer) later. The Washington Post+2KCUR+2 The margins for grocery stores are thin even in good areas; doing this in a neighborhood with economic challenges makes profitability even harder. KCUR+2KCUR+2 Stocking, supply, and operational issues Reports of empty shelves, missing fresh produce, closed or poorly supplied meat/dairy/deli sections. Some items past expiration; spoilage / rotten smells. KCUR+3Denver Gazette+3CF.ORG+3 Unclear / inconsistent fulfillment of what a full-service grocery store needs. Maybe contracts / supply chain / purchasing power weren’t strong enough or weren’t optimized. CF.ORG+1 High costs and public subsidy The store was heavily subsidized via public investment (bonds, loans, city funds) plus operating subsidies. Overall invested around $28–29 million. CF.ORG+2The Washington Post+2 Insurance costs rose sharply. Operational overheads (security, maintenance, staffing, utilities) likely quite high. The Washington Post+2KCUR+2 Neighborhood decline / broader social challenges The area had been suffering from decades of disinvestment. Infrastructure (roads, lighting, policing, social services) was weak. These broader conditions made it harder for any business to succeed. KCUR+1 The pandemic exacerbated supply chain issues, staffing challenges, and social problems, further reducing foot traffic and complicating operations. The Washington Post+1 Management & perception Some community members believed management was not responsive enough to conditions (shelf emptying, bad smells, etc.), which hurt reputation and caused customers to stop coming. Denver Gazette+1 Even with public money, there may have been mismatches between expectations (what residents thought they’d get) and what was delivered. That can reduce trust and usage.
  5. How can you not love Elliot:
  6. It’s your woke socialist buddies claiming they do. Thanks for telling them how stupid they are.
  7. Don't think Fernandez beats Jaxon Joy.
  8. Do you have any that are successful?
  9. Not if it's only for you. If other wingers are dumb enough to agree with you ( probably arent) then I will.

  25. I agree and disagree. I agree that he is a person who clearly needs to do this his way. And he always does it with grace. So who am I to get angry about that. I disagree that he has great skills beyond wrestling. The chances he was going to succeed at football were about zero. He was a longshot in WWE because of his height and his personality (which is a compliment). I'd be shocked if he is a world class boxer. He might have a shot at MMA but only because of the wrestling component. Hammer throw, whatever else - no. The man may well be the best wrestler on the planet. He's also a wonderful athlete. But it's nuts to think that because you're the best in the world at something and a great athlete that you can be a world class athlete in another sport. Michael Jordan being an excellent example, nowhere near good enough to be a successful professional in baseball or golf (and lacking the personal grace that Gable has). Again he might be able to make a living in MMA but that's basically because of his wrestling. But bless him and best luck on how he wants to live his life. It's just a loss for us because it would have been a pleasure to see him compete internationally through a couple of cycles.
  26. You’re the one all over the place. I’m against more government. The gov should help only when it’s a matter of national security. Ie bank bailout or making sure we have enough farmers to secure a self sufficient food source.
