I've been in LA a few days. Literally nothing is going on that indicated there was anything close to an insurrection. I've barely seen any police either. This whole thing was overblown.

Really nothing worse than that guy who: I hate this place I’m gonna leave…. my friends left it’s better over there…. i could leave and get citizenship somewhere else… given all these things just doesn’t leave. You are like the guy who is always quitting his job. Complains all day at work. Drags everyone down with them…… but just doesn’t quit. Just leave.

Europe has experienced more terrorist attacks than the United States in recent years. Comparative Overview Europe: In 2023, the European Union reported 120 failed, foiled, or completed terrorist attacks, a significant increase from 28 in the previous year. These incidents encompassed various motivations, including jihadist, right-wing, left-wing, and separatist ideologies. United States: the U.S. has faced fewer terrorist attacks compared to Europe.

Even before all of this it's something we wanted to do. I have friends who left the US to go and they have a better quality of life there. There is also very little chance of a terrorist attack, and a lot more things that make the move there and attractive option. Not to mention my wife's family has zero intention or interest in moving to America. So we'd be closer to them. I also have cousins who live in Europe who are citizens of both EU and non EU countries, and are intending to stay there and not return to the US. I have minimal ties here too. Most of my family around me is deceased, and I am adaptable with work. There's definitely trade offs but I feel that my physical and mental health would be better there, among other reasons. One of my friends who lives in the area we're looking at, I've known him since high school and I asked him what the biggest culture shock was, and he told me it was realizing how awful living in America was by comparison.

Penn State wrestling new theme song?
JimmyCinnabon replied to AgaveMaria's topic in College Wrestling
I thought the PSU wrestling theme song was: -
More legal troubles, and apparently not wanting to fight Aspinal. https://www.abqjournal.com/sports/article_2bd78914-e533-4711-b153-0169eb9a3500.html

The middle of the chorus should be sung to recruits by Mike Grey, Chris Ayres, and a few others.

Trip...we're like...90% in agreement on this... but I really hate this 'I'm leaving" crap. Our Founders had to fight...lining up, waiting to get shot, knowing when they did, they'd saw that limb off. The Civil War, the Soldiers at Andersonville had to pick through their own crap for pieces of corn so they have something for their next meal. Finally, these Islamic Fundamentalists don't care if it's you. It's actually harder to get to you in the US.... so they're as likely to attack Europe. And if you're worried about the mainland, go watch Chinese propaganda, look at the MOST AMAZING things they've got, the things that look like they're out of Sci-fi, the hypersonic Missiles and the Naval Vessels, the submarines, and then keep in mind, the Pentagon talks in open committee about how the Chinese are going to pass us up...we need to increase that Military Budget 10%! And then you find out, that amazing new piece of evidence is already antiquated in the US. Kinda like the F-117 Stealth that was created in '77, deny we have it...and then in 1990, we say, 'yeah, we had that, but we're retiring the old Nighthawk. What's more, if it's the leadership you disagree with, that's an even worse reason to leave. Just take it two years at a time. Trump's approval rating is at an all-time low in modern history for a President this early in and the leading contender is...Donald Trump Jr. He is NOT the original thing. MAGA is Trump and only Trump. Things will get better(even if I don't quite agree with you on this one subject).

Sadly, his past statement probably isn't applicable in this scenario I bet they wouldn't take Scout. Though.... they DO like people who are incapable of independent thought and get all their news from X, don't question things and already decide what's right before knowing what they're arguing about(what I'm describing is...stoopid). We're not going to War, but you gotta list me thought reasons. A-You'd..assume... (which is dubious in and of itself with Trump, the guy with the non-Nazi-Nazi-tattoos and the intelligence committee that said Iran was making no attempt to develop Nuclear Weapons and our Nations GREATEST DEI hire, Tulsi Gabbard(I don't actually know if she was DEI, I just noticed if they're not a white man, you can reduce them to DEI) that it'd be VERY few boots on the ground and more us supporting the Cown Prince's claim to the throne. You already have a majority of Iranians who want a different form of non-theocratic Government. B-Unlike Iraq or Afghanistan, this would GREATLY shift the balance in the Middle East and maybe so many of the most powerful countries there wouldn't be so...GD regressive. Treating Women as property (which stopped being cool here like 160 years ago). But it'd also GREATLY reduce the terrorists activity in that Country, and while it's a LOONG shot, if you could get a more secular Govt in there, just as you have when the Shah was in power, it'd change the world more than any countries 'regime change' since the Soviet Union fell...short lived though that may have been. So you fund the rebels, you start to trot out Pahlavi, you maybe...set up Starlink over Iran... It's incredibly unlikely, but it'd be a MASSIVE boon to lasting peace. Nobody wants this to continue. Though...again, I was told there'd "be no wars with Trump."

This is not even dog whistle antisemitism. People were saying the same nonsense when Biden was funding Israel. Please stop identifying everything as "oppressed and oppressor." Israel isn't TRYING to oppress Palestine (well, they weren't, now they're just kicking ass in Gaza because they just never stop). The Palestinians have been given AMPLE opportunity for peace. They've not once negotiated in good faith. Israel pulled out of in 2005 and their GDP was growing at 4-5% per year(so good economic growth). They got more aid per capita than anywhere in the world. I wonder what Palestine would look like if... they just put that money toward the people rather than building on the underground tunnel system and building military bases in schools and hospitals? But they didn't. And sadly, as Oct7th approached, more and more Palestinians were in favor of peace. Israel was building hospitals, but you're goddamn right they still had strong borders and blockades. But if you're going to ask why Israel, the Country that's been attacked since the ENGLISH Mandate, had strict check points and borders, lets ask why Egypt did as well? But in the end, aside from aside from "Nettanyahoos," being a childish retort and similar to Scout/Jimmy's "libtardods" line...what you're really saying is, "The Jews are controlling us." You really think the US is doing something that's NOT in it's own best interest? And they've been doing this since Carter? C'mon...

Citing an agreement Iran was adhering to before Trump pulled out of it for...no rational reason...seems foolish. I don't agree. Iran may try and use terrorists to detonate a dirty bomb in the US, but Enriching Uranium to the point where you can make Nuclear Weapons...and THEN finding a delivery source that the United States won't just be able to shoot out of the sky is a taller order now. It's going to be... quite a bit more difficult in the future with artificial intelligence. No, if they could build a nuclear weapons, they'd go after Israel. On top of wishing all Jews would return to Israel as it's be easier to kill them all, Hamas leader said the following; “All of you 7 million Palestinians abroad… you have Jews everywhere. You should attack every Jew possible in all the world and kill them.” cufi.org Since the 1980s they've been years. Since the early 90s, it's been mostly Months.

I’m just glad we have this guy in a key counter-terrorism role. Meritocracy, baby https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/article/maga-loyalist-22-gets-big-dhs-counter-terror-job-20363900.php

Then don't listen to how it's "framed." And I don't know how being in Europe is going to help you here. Seriously... there have been a LOT more refugees taking in from Europe in recent years, people who are more fundamentalist than you have in the US. Hell, we even deport Afghan translators who put their lives on the line, saved American Military Lives with old Red White and Blue promising to let them come here since...they fought for our country and WILL be murdered if they are sent back... and we're indifferent.

Well... you have the overthrow of the Hawiian Kingdom...that worked out pretty well! Uh...Panama was...pretty successful. Haiti in...the 90s(93, 94, IDR). Also the Dominican Republic. That worked. I just find the...well, I used to call it Far Right, but if you're MAGA, about a 90% chance you're already far right, but their hypocrisy is HILARIOUS! They argued against the veracity of the IAEA intelligence reported in 2018 when the US pulled out of the JPOAC. The same people...they're quoting them ALL over the place today! Oh, and on top of that, you have the; Biden Started Two Wars," crowd...despite not sending an American Soldier in either event and that's why we need Trump, because he'll end the wars in Israel, in the Ukraine and he'll do it on Day 1! A couple questions, are those two Wars over, did Trump use US Troops to intervene in Iran and does the right even see how full of fecal matter they are!

@Husker_Du had an interesting take on the Basch podcast. It was mostly about Jordan, but he said he hadn’t watched it yet so hopefully we get a more in depth take after he does. He said Jordan was “probably guilty of lying about knowing about some of the allegations,” but that he shouldn’t be being blamed, and if he wasn’t a big name politician no one would care about his role. I 100% agree, and on a national non-wrestling level there were some folks that seemed like they tried to do that. But within the wrestling world, and basically what the victims from the documentary said, was that they were more just upset about him denying even knowing about it.

I get that, but I think that's an overblown fear. Iran isn't capable of escalating it badly. Now, while I think @Scouts Honorspeaks out of both sides of his mouth when he says "Iran is not a serious country," and then says it's so important, they're so close to getting a Nuclear Weapon, we HAD to bomb them," I do not think they can really do anything in terms of striking back. Terrorist attacks are coming(or at least plots and I'm sure some long actors who just think it's a good idea to act on behalf of Iran)...and there will be other things, I don't thnk it's WWIII, I don't think China has the appetite to get involved, I think China wants to, but won't do so until they're fighting from a position of strength(not just their Military, their economy). The one thing they have going for them, they DEFINITELY have a coherent, long term plan and they are following that. By definition, we'll never have that. The continuity of leadership. I wouldn't want it, but in this case, I think it keeps them out. Egypt wouldn't dare, the Saudi's have become far too pragmatic(though still brutal). Jordan isn't going to(another country with a treaty). Iraq is...not in a position to engage in a military offensive, Afghanistan should...really know better. I don't see this escalating beyond missiles being fired. The WORST thing that could happen would be China takes this as an opportunity to implement it's blockade of Taiwan with so much of the Pacific Fleet in the Middle East. That would MASSIVELY rattle the market, per US Foreign Policy, that's an act of War... but I don't think China is going to do that at this point(though I don't think Trump would go to War there as...there'd be a real threat to the Military and despite the fact that it'd cause...well, a global financial crisis(Semiconductors from Taiwan being cut off, even with the AZ plant from the Biden Chips Act underway and performing exceptionally well, it'd still have catastrophic affects). But I don't think it's going to escalate into any type of global conflict. I think it's reached it's zenith...unless Israel goes in and does more. What's MUCH more likely to happen is a massive Cyber-Security Hacking attempt. I've been a longtime shareholder of CRWD, bought PANW about a year ago and S(Sentinel One is a growth AI Cyber Security company that's got a lot of growth potential). AI is the future. Hopefully you also bought NVDA 6-7 years ago or TSM, AVGO, you could buy AMD now, PLTR is a crazy valuation, NVTS is a good growth stock, but the second order consequences will be more attempts to hack, IP theft and in response, the companies that can actually use AI to block cyber security. ---AT least...that's my opinion and how I'll be watching this unfold. Hopefully with some Iranians taking to the streets...and maybe with the soldiers distracted, they can actually accomplish something.

Ok, so I just cut and pasted your link and... I never case to be amazed at your ability to so consistently misrepresent an argument. 1-Show me a SINGLE time I've been again bombing Iran? I DID point out your hypocrisy. You JUST used this source to advocate for it. YOU were using the IAEA's Data... but only NOW in 2025 when it suits the argument you'd already made up before you came into this conversation. Me on the other hand, I've consistently said I think the best thing that could happen to the Middle East would be if we were able to help aid the Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, and see it returned to the type of country they were in the 1970s. 2-Well, I'll just repeat #1 again. I've pointed out MOUNTAINS of hypocrisy... maybe that's why you're confused? But you keep saying that I'm ....denying Iran is working on their Nuclear plan or I guess just whatever argument you need to make at the time to stop from looking like a fool, but #2 is show me where I've been against Trump's action? 3-Tell me why you think the IEAE is such a great source in 2025, but you didn't believe them in 2018? Or at least why YESTERDAY you thought they were such a great source now, but not in 2018? IAEA chief says Iran has material for warheads but no weapon program | Fox News

I don't think they will show up this year.
