  4. The analogy works even if you don't want it to. Sorry for that, but that is the way it is. mspart
  5. This guy will train wreck NYC if he gets to do what he is saying he wants to do. He can't do it without a compliant city council. mspart
  6. I will address two questions in one post. I am against ALL ice raids. The location matters because of the intent. And the intent is to strike terror and fear into anyone with Brown skin and especially immigrants. As to art's analogy. It is garabge that is barely worth addressing. No one is camping in your yard, breaking into your home, stealing your food, etc.

  9. Seen plenty of high school football stars get their drivers license before the majority of the grade. It's more evident in wrestling because if the top 4 guys do it that's a major % of the starting lineup but it's common in football as well, and I'm sure in other sports I don't pay attention to.
  10. It's supposed to be 28% approve; not 38%.

  12. The dirty south. Wish they weren't so weak and dumb, so that they wouldn't have lost the civil war.
  13. It got a lot worse and lasted longer because of the National Guard and marines. Yes, it simmered down. Just about all civil unrest does, eventually.
  14. Do you watch current college wrestling? A wrestler has a lead with 30 seconds to go in the third period and they immediately back up to the edge, then circle along along OB line, and they dare the referee to interfere with the outcome of the match. The problem is that referees have let wrestlers abuse stalling for so long that it's now considered standard and a part of the game. Referees should be less afraid to make potentially outcoming changing calls, and as they continue to do so, people will be more reluctant to stall at the end of matches because they know the ref is going to hit them.
  15. Horrible analogy. Comparing somebody coming into your house vs the country that you live in.
  16. To me, late April is right on the line where I wouldn't consider that a RS. I know he will be 19 for a few weeks before he graduates, but only a few months older than a someone who turns 19 in June/July after they graduate. To me, a RS is when they are held an additional year. For the record, I don't have a big issue with any parent who RS their kid before Kindergarten (regardless of month of birth) as 99.9% is done for size/maturity issues and not a competitive advantage when they are 19. I also don't have a big issue with a 19 year old senior but I can at least understand the argument, it just doesn't bother me a ton.

  18. Back to the title of this thread. Is there war in LA now? I'm not hearing of it. Therefore, no one declared war. Trump called in the Nat Guard and things simmered down. No one is being shot and killed in the streets and that is what war is, so I say that the title of this thread is a misnomer. mspart

  22. FILA went to 2pt takedowns after the step-out was implemented IIRC. It didn't make sense to reward a takedown and a push-out equally.
