One of the Sanderson brothers recently had a post about the average parent has already spent 75% of the time they will ever spend with their child by the time the child is 12 and 90% by the time the kid is 18. I have no idea if there is any truth to it, but it hard for me as a parent. Hold on to your time with the kids! I used to work at an elite prep school and really didn't understand the parents who sent their kids away to high school (and even elementary school.)
