  1. Historically Greg Jones would be an example. One of the best ever but seemed like an afterthought even when he was competing. Modern day would be Austin O'Conner, if he's wrestled for iowa, which would have been a good fit he'd have been talked about constantly. And for fun, the anti example, a big market wrestler no ones thinks about and i have no idea why TJ Williams. 1 loss in three years at Iowa.
  2. if he goes 125, i'm gonna lean hard into the angle the he was on a lot of gear. we all know he's aware of sarms.
  3. he's also mixing in a lot of dumb but straightforward posts, which undermine his troll status.
  4. because they don't realize that rankings are supposed to reflect passed results and not predict future ones. and they need to maintain that state because pyles isn't gonna make a meaningfully bold prediction ever, because he's trying to maintain the illusion that he's an expert.
  5. i just meant I thought it was going to, but to your point if it went to saturday night, which i now remember it did because that was NIckal vs martin i think, then I was right. I guess I should admit i must have just wanted PSU to lose.
  6. additionally, its not keeping anyone safe. If you run throw a leg attack and crack someones head on the 3 point line, that rule isnt helping, and thats exactly the scenario its supposed to address.
  7. are you just adding context?
  8. one more injury and i can start praying for a team race....when nolf got hurt his junior year I was by no means happy but was hoping for a team race....then he just beat everybodies ass anyways.
  9. is pyles phone broken? he normally blocks all the mean people
  10. i think the ref should have discretion as to when the whistle blows, this touch the floor stuff is stupid, like how is that not a stalling call every time.
  11. Where is he even training now? Guy has always struck me as sort of unstable.
  12. there is definitely a stagnant feel to his career
  13. yeah, but he doesn't have any choice. I'm not saying he can't make weight, i'm just saying he is a 133, and he's one of the people whose simply a tweener. Starocci is the same I think, and I don't cheer for starocci but I do wish he had a weight so I can know how good he really is.
  14. i know, and he hasn't shrunk in the meantime....
  15. i saw fix at the weigh in for super 32 at 126 when he was a junior or senior in highschool, looked like a zombie.
  16. gotta love the old film of gable just folkstyling those poor bastards to death.
  17. I'd say that if there was a third period lee would have lost, but thats just not the rules. I think Lee hasn't had time to get in shape yet. The guy we get at the olympic team trails will be different.
  18. no i'm just trying to figure out if there is an angle i'm missing, even if it makes me look dumber.
  19. yeah that might be it, but thats more of a high school mentality than a college or senior level mentality. Given his history of injury, you'd think they wouldn't spam matches, but maybe he's just pissed off?
  20. i'll amend, that response doesn't further the discussion.
  21. i think so
  22. i've never heard that, so i can't meaningfully respond.
  23. thats not argument, unless you think the cornell staff is stupid.
  24. no way the Cornell staff pushes their golden goose out their if he's significantly concussed. Unless he hid it from them... To repeat myself in the form of a question, how often has he lost in the last 5 years? I think he just isn't used to it.
