  1. Having been a college wrestler for Northwestern I can tell you it is very exciting to be a college wrestler. Same as most college sports and even boxing and tennis ,etc. When you use your entire energy and mind and body doing something exciting, that is very fun. Now the honest part! No one really cares. Northwestern has three former All American wrestlers transferring and not more than 20-25 posts about it! Why? No one, outside a few individuals really cares! You have to do it for the love of the sport, as Michael Jordan would say. Other guys like Bernie Traux, etc and not much real excitement except for a few threads on hawkeyereport. The reality is no one cares! So do it for the exercise and don’t destroy yourself in the process. Am I wrong?
  2. Deakin would make a great coach
  3. Northwestern needs to restock the kitchen with young blood ! Deakin worked out well!
  4. Congratulations to Lucas! Great school !
  5. Why not have Cannon and Davison join him in Oklahoma?
  6. Alll those guys have their degrees! Davison, Cannon, etc. Great school and time to recruit young guys! Carter Young would have been a title contender this coming season at 33!
  7. He wrestles like Kennedy! Happy for him!
  8. Real tough academic school
  9. Davison is another AA transferring from NU! Been at NU for five years
  10. Cannon is solid! Had a win over Mendez and the Minnesota kid both of whom AAed! Sometimes the field is loaded! Lucas Byrd is amazing and he didn’t AA this year.
  11. Likely closer to home for Chris who is a tough kid!
  12. A five trillion dollar scheme to be exact! My guess is the government spends five trillion or more each year till we collapse. Sooner than later with the emergence of BRICS!
  13. I like Alirez! Great on his feet! Beat an undefeated Iowa guy in finals!
  14. Best wrestler I have seen in ten years at ncaas! Dake and Taylor included! Am I wrong?
  15. Not sure about Northwestern except Thomas is done. I think Aiden Vandenbosch takes his place. At 97, my guess is Evan Bates moves up with one of the frosh taking over at 84!
  16. Technically, Sebastian Rivera is better than Lee! Let’s see what happens down the road! I will say this! Vito looked ten times better than Spencer Lee at Nationals where he lit up Daton Fix and RBY! I never saw those two studs take such a lambasting!
  17. Lee Kemp was much better! No one came close to scoring on him. I saw him wrestle in 1981 at Northern Open in Wisconsin. I lost to Jim Gibbons in that tournament in my first college match. I took fifth in the Illinois Open that year while at Northwestern. While competing for the University of Wisconsin–Madison Lee Kemp was a four-time NCAADivision I National finalist, winning the championship three times and placing 2nd, on a split referee's decision, as a true freshman at 18 years old. Lee recorded losses to only three wrestlers in his collegiate career losing his last college match in the NCAA finals as a freshman, posting 110 wins and no losses against collegiate competition in his last three years, which included the historic win over the legendary Dan Gable in November of Lee's sophomore year, while he was still 18 years old. March 10, 2010 Inside Wisconsin Sports Article,"The Day Lee Kemp Beat the Great Dan Gable", by Mike Beacom. Kemp was America's first three-time World Champion, winning his first title in 1978 at age 21, establishing him as the youngest American world champion ever, a distinction he held for 30 years. Lee was a four-time World Cup Champion, 7-time United States Freestyle National Champion and was a heavy favorite for gold earning a berth on the 1980 United States Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Team, but was unable to compete because of the U.S. boycottof the Olympics.

  19. Joe Williams was a three x champ. His brother , TJ, had one loss in college! TJ has best all time record at Iowa!

  21. Loyal to Cornell through and through!
  22. I had Vito winning too! He is gonna win world gold!
  23. If Dake can do it, Carter can too! But why? Nolf will get the job
  24. Both Vito and his dad our amazing! Vito needs to go 61 kilos for the world championship! He will light up Seth Gross and Fix and everyone in the world
