In the U.S., if you’re the mayor of a large city and have a disagreement with Biden about illegal immigration, you get investigated by the FBI, the IRS, the FEC, and get charged with rape.
At least in Russia, if you’re ranked high enough, and you have a publicly reported disagreement with Putin, he’ll make an equally noteworthy story about your airplane, and everyone on board, being shot out of the sky.
I found it interesting that John Smith promoted the idea that the first takedown would be worth three points and subsequent takedowns would be two points. He was looking for a way to reduce the number of scoreless first periods. I wonder if it would be better that way and to only award three points for the first takedown if it occurs during the first period.
