    Interesting how last year Haines was 157 and Pinto was 184. Now both are 174. I hope Pinto does something to make it interesting (he's usually good for that)

    Being the most likely candidate does not mean earning the job. I like Scott, but I feel like it's a little bit of entitlement mentality to say he should have been given it because of XYZ. We can put ourselves in the best position to succeed, but it does not entitle us to success (in my opinion). I'm rooting for him, but I'm not sure that he was necessarily wronged by anyone.

    I went to Northeastern several decades back. Their best sports team was ice hockey. When we played Boston College - the fans chanted "Safety School" at us. 20 years later, and Northeastern has a lower acceptance rate than BC (6.8% vs 16.7%)

    I interpret it is ESPN voicing, not so passively, that they do not believe that riding time should be a thing. Using their influence very strategically

    Cam Amine feels like the Beau Bartlett for the Cowboys in the sense of - the most conservative guy on the team and least likely to score bonus in a standard match. Bartlett being higher ranked in his respective weight class of course, with a non-zero chance of winning the title.

    Since David Taylor arrived, the Cowboys have nearly matched the aggression of the Nittany Lions. A lot of good teams out there with guys who wrestle very conservatively. Leaves them vulnerable to an upset, IMO. If you truly believe yourself to be better than your opponent, you want to open up the match as much as possible so you have wrestling opportunities to demonstrate this belief. That philosophy resonates with me.
