  1. Thanks for the info. Sorry to hear about Greg D. Hope he heals up and gives it another go next year. Ungar could make some noise in a wide open 125
  2. Both semi final games were fantastic. I'm about to turn this off because it's clearly already over. Texas was a much better team than Notre Dame it seems
  3. Is Greg Diakomihalis out for the season or is he just out temporarily? He hasn't wrestled a match since November 24th. Brett Ungar hasn't wrestled since December 6th. Is he coming back? Staying 33 or going back down? In their absence, Milani and Ferrera have done very well. So maybe they are taking their time getting back to form, knowing that the team will not suffer in the meantime. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the plan.
  4. DeSanto improved a lot with them I thought
  5. I agree with your last sentence for sure. I just have my doubts about how the reversal was downgraded. Maybe takedowns can be 4, reversals 3, and escapes 1. but reversal needs more recognition and incentivization in the current method. From a difficulty of position standpoint, I always thought a reversal should be worth an escape plus a takedown because you are going from a position of disadvantage to a position of advantage. I've moved away from feeling too passionate about it being more than a takedown, but it needs to be well more than an escape in my view. I'm open minded as to how that could be captured in the point system
  6. which team do you think is most likely to take second in nationals this year duke?
  7. I know that's how it is for high school and lower. but in college folkstyle, they're awarding points for just stalling on top for a minute more than the other guy can. plus you can get all types of back points. escaping means you lose the vulnerability of being on bottom (in my idea)
  8. I'd like escape to be worth nothing and keep reversal at 2 and takedown at 3.
  9. no offensive points against anyway.
  10. Looking forward to the next match, it seems like a 95% chance that Mesenbrink wins by a technical fall, and that the only points Wilson scores will be via escape (from release). If he's lucky maybe he'll get a reversal, and then allow Mesenbrink to escape for the same effect. Mesenbrink is a maniac, but more of a tech fall guy than a pinner. In fact all of his results so far this year have been tech falls without letting up a non-escape point
  11. Lovett repping the Swiss flag on his socks?
  12. Dual starting at 174 he says!
  13. Malik Amine doing pretty well as a commentator here
  14. Caleb Smith and Jacob Van Dee
  15. The clarifying point at the end makes sense to me. Many of these wins are in the distant past.
  16. Are you implying that someone has to have beaten all of the guys before you can predict that they might be able to? The list above speaks for itself. AJ Ferrari lost to Noah Adams who never placed at nationals.
