What is the status on Bo’s college choice? This round had way less publicity than his first cycle. Chatter seems to indicate Nebraska as a likely favorite vs Ok State and PSU From a biased standpoint, VT is probably a better choice if he wants to be a program changer. He could slot in after Henson graduates and would get to train with Henson since he’ll likely be around Blacksburg to train for the next Olympic cycle. If I was a rising 149 college prospect, I’d jump at the opportunity to train with Henson who will end up as one of the top 149 guys in history.

On another note, somebody posted on the VT board that TJ Stewart had to be driven in a golf cart to his classes by a coach last year because he wouldn’t go otherwise It was also mentioned his grades are so bad, he probably can’t wrestle until the second semester, at presumably NC State.

Losing Torres sucks, especially to Iowa. He lost to Weader recently so maybe he was concerned he wouldn’t likely start at VT

Agreed on TJ at 197. His dad blamed his knee, training partners, ill family member etc for last season’s performance or lack thereof. Weight management was the likely the main problem which he struggled with his freshman year but got hot at the right time and AA’d.

Tampa Tom has a bright future. I’ve only seen Wright wrestle at the SE Open. He cut to 165. He wrestles hard and with a chip on his shoulder but needs to improve technique wise. We will see if he jumps levels year with a full year of D1 experience under his belt. He had the frame to add mass to be a full sized 174

That’ll be a good roster battle between Desiante and Wright. I’d say it will be up for grabs until the January unless there’s a weight change for either guy

A pack fan who posts occasionally on the VT board said TJ to nc state is a real possibility. Also said Fish could end up at VT but there is no guarantee either go where rumored. He also some other big names are being thrown around of possible transfers too but no hints just yet.

Agreed. He did a minor version of his public stunt right after his AA year except without entering the portal. I assume TJ secured something to stay at VT but no clue. Honestly, TJ should have entered the portal then. I doubt his appeal is too high now with a lackluster performance this past season. His dad left money on the table for TJ until and if he ever returns his freshman year level

I’m gonna speculate that once the smoke clears, Robie and Co will be glad TJ is gone. Probably a great kid but daddy Stew is not doing him any favors
