There is a Civil War/Paradigm Shift Happening

ME Gay Marriage: Pro (don't see a legal reason to prevent two Adult Citizens from entering a contract Abortion: My family and I are against it, but we do not care if the law stays the same, as parents, we raise our kids and they make choices. Socialism: Very Against Far Right Control and judging: Against Stupid People: Against I think you should be able to drink at 18 I think there are two genders. I think the Universe is so vast that somewhere out there, there must be more life forms. I'm not sure, though, if they built the pyramids. I don't believe in furries or unicorns. If you are here illegally, and you are a known criminal, See ya. I think non-criminals should have a path forward to stay, but they should pay a penalty, maybe 1% for life. But not be deported. I laid out my student loan debt issue. I think people who keep raising min. wage while complaining about inflation, should read Econ for Dummies. I like RuPaul, I think HE is funny as hell. Very little offends me, other than psychopaths who celebrate the murder of people who disagree with them. I think the Jihadists are bad, not all muslims. I think Archie Bunker and Blazing Saddles are funny. I think Kamala is a moron. I think Cajun Kennedy may be the only sane politician. I think the left tried a Coup against Trump during and after his first term, and they failed on all levels. I think the Biden family (Not Joe) and the Head of the DNC should be charged with Elderly Abuse. I think the NFL is fixed, DEI is Racism, and every other ism rolled into 1. I Like Cake, Big and I mean Big, a Fan of crème brûlée... Oh and IA sucks! -

Ok so here is how we can divide it. Every gets, all climates, Shipping and Ports, Vacay Destinations, Mountains, Skiing is the exception, but we would let Repugstan get a special Visa.... -

A divide is not the worst idea at all. There is zero chance that common ground will ever be reached again. We need a Dumbocrat Section A Repuglican Section We just want to be left alone, live our lives, not be surrounded by A Holes, as stated earlier. (THE Cake Party) -

Thanks, I wasn't trying to take sides; I just shared my experience and a bit of insight, but I should know better here. It's like dancing in an alligator pit in Lady Gaga's meat suit. -

Was the killing of Kirk "Figurative"? Anyway, my original points clearly stands; I'm just bummed about the direction it's heading. Can we all agree that cake could go a long way in repairing these relationships? -

Wow, here we try and have a civil intellectual conversation, and here you come stumbling in, spewing hate for the right... You seem to be getting angrier with age, such an uncivil person. You might want to try gummies or something; maybe they'll help. But I should actually be thankful, you just reinforced my entire point. I stated that both sides have issues, only stated that violence is getting worse, and didn't even blame anyone. Yet here you come with your blind, pure hatred (Which is really something you should get help for), and attack one side. Sad really, I feel like my life sucks right now, (why I came back, to be around the one group of people that make me happy, wrestling people), but at least I am not this angry. Soo angry -

I cannot argue that at all; I agree, but it feels like we are going beyond "disagreeing". I could be wrong, though. -
First, they shut down the whole forum; then, a week or so later, they brought it back, less off-topic. Dreamy was in rare form and started spewing crazy stuff. SGallen then jumped in on her side, and all the usual suspects (almost all those in that song) just started roasting them. The two opposing groups (BB, Sparky, etc., all with Dreamy and SGallan), had it out. I went to bed after a few hours. I woke up, and everything was gone lol. I do not know what was the final straw, but I am sure it was a culmination!

There are clearly two sides in America, and maybe even globally (I suspect the latter). Call it a Civil War, Ideology War, Religious War, or a flat-out Paradigm shift, things are going to be very different in the next 10 years. I worked in Politics for my first 10 years of my career, as an Aide in the State Senate for a Democrat. I also served on two gubernatorial panels. In those 10 years, I never saw the anger and Visceral behavior I have seen in the past few years. Nor have I ever seen so much lying and criminal behavior, without a single worry of consequence. The right has a strong agenda of what they claim is giving America "back to the people", but I question that on many levels. I currently live in Florida, the capital of crazy, weird sh@#. People who claim to be "for the people and freedom" (DiSantis) create more laws and restrictions than I have ever seen. He is not for freedom; he is for doing things his way. They go too far in one direction to compensate for how far another state goes in the opposite direction. Makes no sense. He banned books in school that I don't think kids should be reading. However, if you ban a book because you don't like it, you should also listen to the issues people have with it. That is a simple example, but I am telling you, we need fewer laws and more meaningful ones; what we really need is accountability, not legislation. Now, on the left, the biggest red flags I see, and that also have me concerned, are that people go into fight or flight when they are threatened. I am talking about the higher-ups, not the plebeians. The anger, hate, and promotion of violence is insane to me; you only do that when you feel the system you built and profit from us being threatened. Whatever that may be, they are running scared. This goes way beyond if you want to identify as a unicorn or a dinosaur. They lie to our faces, despite clear video evidence, and do so without impunity. The real losers in this fight are middle Americans, the people who truly want to go to work, pay their bills, raise their kids, watch their sports, concerts, or plays, have a steak now and again, and enjoy a few beers or tea at night. They want a fair system, not a perfect system; they don't want to be told what to believe, how to think, or how to spend their time and money. They don't want perfect. These two sides keep dividing us, violence keeps rising, and we are seeing more anger. This is not, nor will it ever again be, the world most of us (over 40) grew up in. Interested to see where it all leads. P.S. Cake solves many problems.

Ok, the gaslighting is simply amazing. As Red Viking would say "Anyone with Half A Brain" would see it. They know the video of them exists, they know they lied, and they look right in the camera and say, "I did not say that". But there is a video of you saying, "No, I never said that you are making it up." Is that really you in the video? "Yes, but I never said that." You can't make this stuff up!
