  1. Trent Hidlay wins a Conference Championship wrestling just 1 match.
  2. Anybody know the result of the "True" 2nd place match between Baker (Campbell) and Munro (UTC) ?
  3. Maida will be looking for an "At Large" bid. 6 available. He should be hoping for mininal upsets in other Qualifiers. Stout already qualified (Top 6). MFF may slightly hurt his NCAA Seed.
  4. Round of 16 complete. - 20 of the 22 AQ wrestlers advance to the Quarters (all but IM #20 Tyus of SIU @ 149 & Herrera-Rondon of Clarion @ 157) 1. Rider - 14, 2. C. Michigan - 11.5, 3. N. Illinois - 9 - To the Quarters we go
  5. Round of 16 complete. - Binghamton advances 3 - #11 Seeds to the Quarters - 50 of the 53 AQ wrestlers advance to the Quarters 1. Cornell - 21.5, 2. Lehigh - 20.5, 3. Penn - 19.5
  6. The Round of 32 is complete. Tough round for Sacred Heart as they go 1-5. On to the Round of 16 !
  7. Looks like the #8 Pre-Seed Angelo Rini (Columbia), ranked #21 by Intermat, is not wrestling.
  8. It amazes me ... year after year after year ... how much confusion exists among wrestling fans on the simple differences between a medical forfeit and an Injury Default
  9. The Tournament, yes. Gus asked "Anyone know where this will be televised ?" Only the Finals will be TELEVISED @ the dates/times that I posted.
  10. ESPN2 ; 3/10 @ 19:30 ESPNUc; 3/13 @ 09:00
  11. Once the Coaching Staff decided to go with Hawks, they could have sent him to a Last Chance Open to earn an Allocation for Big 12's. Hoping the decision to NOT do this doesn't cost Hawks an NCAA bid ?
  12. Your correct. I know the 30 day rule, just didn't look when Pitzer's last match was. I still expect him to "steal" an AQ's bid.
  13. Interesting that Pitzer was not submitted for the 3rd Coaches Ranking but is now wrestling @ ACC Tourney. If healthy, I would expect him to steal a bid.
  14. Just noticed : No Matthew Olguin for OSU @ 174 ?

  17. How competitive did you expect them to be while transitioning to D1 ? What a terrible uninformed take.
  18. 157 is a very deep weight class in this Conference and will be very interesting. Watch for (Robinson -CSU) & (Woodcock - SIU) to steal AQ bids.
  19. "Played" the Allocation system perfectly. 2-1 @ 149 going into the FINAL weekend of the regular season. Wrestled 3 backups @ F&M Scramble on Saturday and another 3 backups @ Patriot Last Chance on Sunday to acquire the necessary 8 matches to qualify for Win Pct & Coaches Rank consideration. Gets a #28 CR (presumably based on the win vs Rivera of Princeton) in a weight class requiring 28/28/.720. Not sure how people feel about a wrestler earning an Allocation for your Conference in this calculated but legitimate manner ?
  20. Vasquez bolstered his numbers at the "Cowboy Open" to earn the Allocation (along with Carlson - SDSU).
  21. Bump
  22. This
  23. I have been wondering this same thing for several years now.
  24. Seems like the smaller Conferences are alreday doing this (SoCon, MAC, EIWA). However, it doesn't seem to happen much or not at all in P5 Conferences.
