Yeah, I know, but Keuter is different than most of those fat heavies because he actually has mobility and some decent technique. Hendricksen is pinning/teching guys who are mostly dancing bear type fatties and that a matchup against a quick HWT may be a different challenge for him. I think despite Gable smoking Keuter last week (and you know there's only a couple guys Gable can't techfall) that Keuter has improved this year and I think he's a legit AA contender. He may have the quickness to avoid some of Hendrickson's stuff and generate some offense of his own. Maybe. 10-3 is a pretty dominant decision, despite it not scoring bonus team points, and I don't think it's crazy to say I see Keuter losing by dec or by tech/fall. Not only that, but he has a chance, albeit small, of actually winning. Fluke falls happen all the time, I saw one in the Lilledahl match last week!

Dumb question: how far into a season can a guy hit the transfer portal and still qualify for NCAAs? Also, how would you handle seeding that guy? For example, say Buchanon transfers to Ohio State this week (assuming that was possible), would his B1G wins at Iowa count towards his conference seeding while he was wrestling for Ohio State? Probably, I think. Anyway, it occurs to me that if a guy had a lot of money he could basically buy himself an NCAA championship team each season. If I was a wrestler making $300k a year in NIL money and a crazy ISU billionaire alumni came along and offered me $5 million to change to ISU I'd be a moron not to accept the offer. I'm thinking NIL is going to be very bad for wrestling's competitiveness. Some clown billionaire could come in an basically take over college wrestling.

He wasn't good enough at stalling, that's for sure. What I don't understand about guys like Edmond is why they don't just go nuts when they wrestle guys like Starocci? They are probably going to lose anyway, might as well go uber aggressive and try a throw or a bodylock. Maybe you'll hit the throw, put him on his back and pin him. It probably won't work but at least it gives you a chance instead of just stalling out like a wimp. I'd rather get pinned after bravely trying a throw than getting pushed around the mat and finally stalling out while way behind on the scoreboard.

Agreed. He hasn't beaten any top 10 guys and his best win was 8-2 over Bockman, his main "claim to fame" so far was a 2 point loss to Starocci where he created zero offense and got pushed around the whole match. I think he's probably a legit top 10 guy, but there's no way to be sure at this point.
