  1. There's the answer, Verne Gagne. I figured it would be a rodent, they have a very strong HWT tradition.
  2. Ayala. I don't think Byrd catches him again.
  3. Henson. I'll be rooting for Lovett though.
  4. Clearly it comes down to Kasak or Shapiro. Shapiro is really good, but less battle tested than Kasak due to a relatively lightweight schedule. Kasak gets my vote.
  5. Hard to vote against KOT.
  6. Wishful thinking in all likelihood, but I picked Keck.
  7. He's young. Depending on the grade of the pulled hammy he might be affected for just a few days or a few weeks. I'm not an MD, but I watched the match. It didn't look like anything too serious to me. I wouldn't be shocked if he was 100% at NCAAs.
  8. OSU/PSU is a natural rivalry, those teams should always wrestle.
  9. It's really hard to be intimidated by a bear that's restrained by the letter "C".
  10. Back in my day the only clothing I wore to weigh in was one sock.
  11. I've had some time to think on the issue. First off, Brennan isn't the only guy getting more than one Sr season. If any of those other guys are competing, he should be allowed to as well. Secondly it's not his fault if the coaches at LR lied to him and said he had another year of eligibility, if indeed they lied. I don't think the wrestler should be punished for the sins of the coaching staff or the AD. If the NCAA had done their due diligence prior to every match then this debacle probably would've never occurred. Let the kid wrestle.
  12. You might call me a liar, but I wasn't very shocked at Cenzo beating IMAR. At B1Gs he gave IMAR a pretty good match and showed he wasn't afraid to go up top with IMAR.
  13. Kharchla falls apart at the end of the season, at least from the limited data we have on it. Remember his FR year how he came out like gangbusters, looked like a championship candidate, but lost 4 matches over the final two tournaments and limped home to a 7th place finish at NCAAs? He got beat up over the course of the season and physically was barely holding it together at the end. Then he regressed over the next couple years while battling injuries. To be perfectly honest, I'll be surprised if he makes AA next week, despite his skills.
  14. Lilledahl smoking Ramos last week 12-4 showed me who the favorite is.
  15. He's mediocre. I have no idea what happened to him either, he was 24-6 last year. I thought he was one of those R16-24 type guys until I watched the WVU/OU dual, and he got horsed around by OU's 2nd or 3rd teamer.
  16. It depends on the outburst.
  17. I've watched Figs a good deal this year. When he's on he's definitely one of the best at 125, but he's also prone to inconsistency. He lost to a guy with a losing record last week at conference, and it wasn't by a fluke pin (he lost 4-2). Basically a losing (and very boring) wrestler shut Figs down completely. That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I'd pick Robinson over Figs. I'd pick Spratley over Figs and I'm not even sure Spratley will make AA. I'd pick several guys over him, actually, not just those 2.
  18. After Big 12s last week, I can't help but think OSU might not make the podium after all. Losing 5 of 6 in the Big 12 finals....not a good look even if 4 of those guys were the underdogs.
  19. Do you have a link to the match in question? I don't have B10 network so all I could watch was the bootlegged championship rounds. Also, not commenting on Ryan in particular, but I've noticed most of the "christian" images of people in sports are about a genuine as a virgin in a whorehouse.
  20. Isn't he a 133 pounder? Wouldn't that be like insulting a marmoset?
  21. There are several guys who have been in college for seven years. What makes them special?
  22. Why not? He qualified by winning Pac 10?
  23. LOL, loved how he slammed John Smith in that one interview. Hilarious! There are no holy cows in wrestling.
  24. I don't know who the commentators were for the Big 12 finals, but the voice of one of them was annoying and super grating. He was enthusiastic, which I liked, probably more so than he should've been but his voice....ugh. Can you guys identify the commentators in this clip, I don't think they mentioned their names? The first guy speaking is the one who was driving me nuts. His voice got worse over the course of the night as well.
