  1. Scott talks pretty in-depth about the OSU ordeal and its aftermath on the new Mike Mal podcast. My guess is that, at least at present, he wants very little to do with college wrestling. He looks like a very good guy, and I hope his new venture in Stillwater is awesome.
  2. My review is...its...fine...I guess...as a straight to video biopic...and with very basic, simple characters and writing it was fine. I don't hate that I watched it. That being said, I doubt I will ever watch it again.
  3. I think there were a bunch of transfer issues with him in high school too. Correction: I was wrong, not "a bunch." I think below is more accurate. 9th grade- injured 10th grade- not eligible due to transfer rules 11th grade- state champ 12th grade- elected not to compete in high school wrestling
  4. Looks like he is off the ISU roster webpage. Between high school and college, how many different singlets has he worn? Its gotta be a record.
  5. Indiana has beaten Purdue the last three years.
  6. Oh well. With one champ, two other finalists, and a couple of other placers, it was a solid day for the Hoosiers.
  7. Hoping Indiana has three champs, all upsetting top-15 or better-ranked opponents in the finals.
  8. Is Minnesota the only team to do this?
  9. Aspects of Coach Goldman and his time at Indiana were hard to watch, but he did have guys consistently on the podium, a few in the finals, and some champs. Schools like Little Rock, Campbell, and Rider are getting athletes who get it done. I have zero idea why a school as strong as IU with led with someone as likable as Escobedo- a literal Indiana legend- hasn't yet.
  10. This thread seems a bit premature. Maybe a little more on topic is how hot is Escobedo's seat at Indiana?
  11. David Taylor's Cowboys look pretty good...about 75 points ahead of Nebraska and close to 200 total.
  12. Really it is the final nine unless someone thinks Basset is seriously considering going D2.
  13. All these things can be true at the same time: CP's finger pointing/deflection is super lame, and Flo's attempt to own the mistake via him and Spay was mostly halfa$$ed. ...AND... Whenever Flo screws up, there is mad rush to the interwebs to amplify it to the wrestling world and to build their own online cred. Some people really, really enjoy it. Most were not as upset about the mistake as they where about thrilled about the opportunity to take it to Flo again. That's pretty lame too.
  14. Taylor also had strong evidence (via M2) that he could lead a staff who brings in a bunch of young people, gets their buy-in, and makes them very good at wrestling.
