  1. Buying a wrestler isn't recruiting.
  2. How quickly college wrestling has went from coaching/developing to whomever has the biggest bankroll wins.
  3. Jason Ness- 31-0 with 19 pins. Career 73 pins: 15,20,19,19
  4. This is comedic gold!
  5. Where's Nick Suriano?
  6. Why only two. Some of these guys have trouble making weight they have so much ink on them.
  7. Huskers return 6 AA's next year: 125) Lauridsen (rfr)-Koehler (rso)-Unle (fr) ..... 8. Verne Gagne was the 1st 4x Big Ten champ, at 175, 191, & hvy. He could have won all four years at hvy.

  10. I think that you also have to rank the Christians. Don't Evangelical fundamentalists who believe that everything in the Bible is literally true have to rank above those who believe in a Creator but also have a brain in their head?
  11. Do away entirely with video review. The product was much better without it, old timers will agree.
  12. How about Snyder, Gwiaz, and Coon in 2016 or so?
  13. Did anyone see the Van Dee-Bouzakis match? I was watching multiple matches and can't be certain of what I saw. I think that Bouzakis had a front head and ragdolled Van Dee to the mat and put in a half nelson to turn him over for a pin. Except Van Dee was unconscious so the ref stopped the match. (Reminded me of the season Logan Massa choked out two guys with his front headlock to a pin series). Refs reviewed to see if any illegal, didn't see any so awarded an injury default per the rule book I'd guess. During the review Van Dee was up and looked like he wanted to continue, but since he defaulted his next match maybe he had a neck wrench.
  14. Crookham has wrestled since 12-15-24. Why hasn't he been removed from the rankings for inactivity?
  15. Nebraska has two losses, not 10-1.
  16. "Nebraska at 174 lbs." You meant 165 lbs.
  17. https://www.caelsanderson.com/blog/no-to-national-duals/
  18. Steveson weighed in at 274 yesterday. The extra weight didn't seem to slow him down.
  19. It is always helpful to list the time zone that you are using. I assume that all times are Eastern even when it is a dual between two Midwestern teams.
  20. Do away with leg laces and trapped arm guts. They're match-ending and boring. Exposure points are only awarded if control is shown. Instead of standing them up after 10 seconds give the top man a minute or two to do his stuff. If the bottom wrestler gets away reward him with points. There's more improvements but these are a good start.
  21. agree, I was just about to post the identical observation.
  22. Lorenzo, Sunderland and Fritz placed at National Duals 17 times with two titles over a 20 year span, an event that Cael single-handedly destroyed.
  23. "where they have to abide by rules with recruiting and contact of prospective athletes." LOL
  24. Maybe Hall is geographically challenged. ""I don't have any specifics quite yet, but it's for sure staying in the Midwest," he said. "I want to stay in the Big Ten. It's the toughest wrestling conference, so if I can go to the Big Ten that'll help me in the long run." This was a Flo vid quote used by Andy Hamilton. https://www.hawkcentral.com/story/sports/college/iowa/wrestling/2015/06/18/wrestling-recruit-mark-hall-interest-in-iowa-hawkeyes/28950311/
  25. As had #33 Valencia (11-13), #32 Bauman (12-14), #29 Faison (13-12), #28 Simma (15-9), and #24 Sparks (10-7). #30 Takats got in on the strength of his 24-14 record, but notably lost to Husker backups Minto and Thebeau. Note that Sparks got in because of Starocci's inj def. He lost three straight after that. Three of his 10 wins are against teammates. He didn't wrestle in the Minny-Husker dual. Wilson (16-12) went 3-2 at the B1G and finished 9th. He beat qualifers Simma and Valencia during the season. It's clear that the seeding process needs a complete overhaul.
