  1. Really there is rumblings that they are looking at it. But my gosh they surely could afford it and this year is the launch of the new ivy league conference! So it is just 100% political?
  2. I was thinking them as well. With all these conferences changing like the Ivy League it is a ripe time to add a program or two to make the conferences even.
  3. With the new Ivy league conference will Yale and Dartmouth add wrestling?
  4. How? He was the poster child for clean living!
  5. Not saying some top guys don't ever choose elite schools but the atmosphere is surely noticeably different. I it honestly felt like a middle school dual at this Ivy. Some like Knox are thinking beyond their wrestling careers. But as we are hitting all these schools that really stood out to me.
  6. Question for these boards. Me and my son have traveled to 17 schools so far for visits. Kinda references the Bo Bassett stuff and him eliminating Stanford kinda early. That only leaves three Elite schools. AF, Princeton, Cornell. I see why top guys or even guys who want a normal college experience don't go to schools like Stanford. I went to a match at an Ivy we were looking at and it felt like we were at a middle school match. Then we went across the river to Rutgers and attended a match there-felt like an event at Olympics. Is this why top guys or even decent guys don't chose elite schools?
  7. Yes great analogy in reference to NFL teams like Kansas City and New England. Their fan bases are/were not well liked either.
  8. Haha did. Voice to text sorry.
  9. Please Blaze don't go to PSU!
  10. I am so over Penn State. I agree with Burroughs. I don't dislike any of the coaches there. It is the wrestlers and fans that feel so dang superior when interacting with them! Time to break up the dynasty. My son is not a blue chip recruit but if he was PSU would be the last school I would go to with Iowa next to last. We need to parody. The 2nd best team is light years behind them. They basically have the entire world team at every weight. And potential NCAA champs as backups at several weights. Is this kind of dominance good for the sport? I know Taylor went to OK State but that will take a few years to challenge PSU.
  11. I have junior HS son. The college coaches have asked for his state results, NHSCA and super 32 and very occasionally Fargo. The big 4 use be Fargo, states, NHSCA and super 32. Ironman, beast of east and others were icing on cake. Went to Fargo cause we felt like we had to. I will tell you the time and expense of Fargo is so off the charts and the location is less than desirably. And we didn't even have to go. I would say Super 32 has to be the biggest title to win in the eyes of college coaches even over a world title.
  12. This is starting to divide people in the wrestling community for real. The media does this garbage in the national news-dividing people over dumb things. I don't want the same type of crap in our community. But I know it gets clicks and $. Really is disheartening.
  13. OK I got a confession to make. I am tired of Bo Bassett. Not him but this selection process he put us all on. I love the idea of what he and the media are doing but it was waaaaaaaaaaay to long and the audience is exhausted. Shorten it up a little brother please. Should have maybe been 32 schools and he should of done a bracket type thing over the course of maybe a month tops! Flo why are you doing this? At the start of this I thought it was a great thing!
  14. Not much younger. The key is Sanderson came back after a 7 fricking year layoff!
  15. Adults hate this but kids love what Bo is doing! The only reason I like it is because it actually helps my kids see what colleges actually have D1 wrestling.
  16. Totally depends on your past with the sport. Alot but not all fathers who have pushed their kids since the age of 5 and pushed nothing but wrestling, wrestling, wrestling has mixed results from what I have seen. Usually, those kids are the best but I have seen top college prospects all the sudden up and quit the sport their senior years and/or shortly thereafter and move on with life and never look back. Almost all of those type guys do not regret it. Burnt out! And some guys who started in high school and were only moderately pushed and fell in love with the sport apply and who apply to 30 schools and only get one offer. I know a couple of guys like that that are thriving and love every second of it including the weight cutting. They are just thankful to be on a college team!
  17. The only way the NLWC saves their skin is if old man Snyder pulls it out! The future of the NLWC sits on Snyder's back!
  18. But Varner should have won the Hodge Time to break up the NLWC. Taylor was first defector. I bet several more retire or go their own ways after the Olympics. It will only be Cael, Cody, Casey and Varner left.
  19. O shoot. RIP! Looks like Ness has finally won it!
  20. Or the poster that wouldn't stop saying Varner won the Hodge over Ness
  21. Yes 2014 was strange for our team. Varner looked like he threw the match. NO takedowns and just pushed out like 7 times with ease to a guy he had beaten. He looked like a high schooler in that match. Altitude?
  22. O ok thanks
  23. World champ Joe Sealey not on PSU lineup projections for next year? Did he transfer or thinking about it?
