  1. No, it's not. The operative phrase is "cleared to use" - that's the one we're talking about. Catch up.
  2. Absolutely EVERY law enforcement officer who carries a gun is cleared to use deadly force when necessary. It's a pretty simple concept - it's exactly why they are equipped with guns. They aren't a decoration. Many posters around here know this. Weird that most remained quiet after such a silly post. (That is the only thing shocking about it.)
  3. That's a new twist to the topic. Hmmm... if I were to take that into consideration, it would change things. Barry Sanders would be my updated choice in the "don't know what the sport was" category. I see Barry surpassing Thorpe (and everyone else) when competing in all sports across the board.
  4. Can't go wrong with Jordan. Dude is a legend. But I've got Jesse Owens on my card for best athlete ever. Won 4 Olympic Golds (1st time ever) in 1936 in Hitler's Berlin Olympics. 'He set three world records and tied another, all in less than an hour, at the 1935 Big Ten track meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a feat that has never been equaled and has been called "the greatest 45 minutes ever in sport".' He grew up in poverty as the youngest of 10 children.
  5. Ban was banned from this forum... this time "permanent." 'Ban basketball' was a clever forum name. Showed his sense of humor. But in reality, he actually played basketball.
  6. I'm 100% behind my guy Moon. Sounds like she had it comin'
  7. It was Willie using his Husker account that posted the awful wife thing. And now also Willie, using his JimmyBT account to harass posters about it. Which is kind of weird because he runs the site. OK, more than kind of weird. JimmyBT (Willie) obviously can't point out that it was Husker (Willie) so he dodges your posts like a crazed super villain dodging bullets.
  8. One of your better posts, to be sure. It would be difficult to argue against any of what I've quoted above. Well done. Except the part in bold. "As an occupied people" - I have no personal experience in that region, but I have read others claiming that Hamas is a foreign governing body that neither represents Gazans nor acts in their best interest. After taking power, they ended elections - no way to vote them out. I'm no expert, but if this is true, it does appear that Hamas is occupying Gaza and controlling Gazans without their consent. Or maybe I've got it all wrong and the majority of Gazans support Hamas. I do not know. From my standpoint, this is a question that really needs to be answered to make any sense out of this particular mess.
  9. He'd likely be buying championships. Not at all different than what is happening right now. Just that he'd be a more evil source of the money behind it. Then again, that would be up for debate if the current curtains were to open for all to see.
  10. Good point. It already is.
  11. And you stand even more corrected, because you were the one who brought up Covid. One has to wonder why you argue when its SO EASY to see by scrolling through the thread. Arguing against the obvious. You are an odd duck.
  12. And even then. Once Kyle 'Buttons' hits 16 years old, he won't be able to qualify.
  13. It would be interesting to see how people would react when wrestlers come to the post-win interview and thank the gay and transgender community for being the right way and the ones that should be followed. (Probably about the same - roughly half backing it and half thinking its inappropriate and don't want to hear it.) OTT isn't over... it could still happen.
  14. Too much familiarity. No surprises between these two.
  15. Worst... stalemate... call... ever
  16. This is so easy to fact check. Maybe you should talk less and think more. YOU actually brought up Covid in this thread
  17. ...but as long as you've budged into the discussion... YES, by you not wearing a mask as you walked by elderly people 100% put them at more risk if you had Covid. Let's read slowly together to make sure it sinks in: Masks are NOT 100% effective - NONE of them. YET, every hospital uses masks by the boatload every day everywhere to protect procedures. They simply work. The "idea" that masks "don't work" is genuinely idiotic (this is where the misguided dimwits like to dwell.) Masks effectiveness against Covid are roughly 50-90% depending on the mask. Less if it's an old sock 50-90% effectiveness is always better than zero. Always. I choose not to relive the Covid days. Nor to claim any win or failure in that time period. Maybe we just let it go.
  18. I replied specifically to a post from jross. Injecting yourself into our conversation is strange. What's you're deal?
  19. You are twisting my words and that simply makes you an awful poster who should not be trusted. My earlier discussion contribution was: "Anyone whining about wearing a thin easy mask to help each other out needs a swift kick in the ass." One of these things is very much not like the other. And I'm certain you know better, but behave poorly anyway. You are truly awful.
  20. You must have difficulty understanding the concept of discussion vs name calling. When folks are engaged in a discussion, they use concepts and perspectives and listen as well as talk. "John Smith was a better coach than Dan Gable!" <- discussion "No, Gable was a better coach than Smith!" <- discussion "Both wrong, Cael is the better coach!" <- discussion It can get heated, but the discussion primarily based on the topic at hand and discussion stays somewhat focused. But when what follows is something like" "You're a Nazi and here's some pictures of Nazi's" <- name calling, doesn't relate to the discussion "No, you are a gigantic buffoon" <- name calling, doesn't relate to the discussion "You Americans are all so stupid" <- name calling, doesn't relate to the discussion Do you get it? The name caller is the one who breaks from an actual discussion by calling names because they are at a loss. More name calling often follows - as is how chaos works - but it's no mystery who the culprit is. Just reread the thread.
  21. Interesting perspective. And it's based on what?
  22. Long... boring... post... a very long way to go to say nothing at all useful. In case you forgot the topic we engaged in, it was about how you whined about wearing a mask on a commercial flight. It's here: So whiney and pathetic. Guy who claims to be a fighter pilot can't handle wearing a basic mask during a global pandemic. Can't take a bit of discomfort in order to provide just a bit of help. Then this clown decides he'll frame me as a nazi? Lipdrag, you are no better than trash. I'd like to think I'm wrong and you are more than that. But I haven't seen any proof yet.
  23. The ones in the OR? Thin, light, disposable. Basically the same as the publicly available ones. Would be exactly the same if we could have produced them in quantity fast enough. But we have to do what we can during a global pandemic. Or the ones in the jet planes? Some have a problem with masks being mandatory. Yet those are MANDATORY. I haven't heard a single pilot complain about having to wear them. They aren't whiny bitches. And by "pilots", I don't include you. You can't possibly really a pilot. Pilots I know have dignity and honor. You post like a whiney putz.
