Israel never had any right to that land. It was illegally handed to them in 1948 as a knee jerk reaction to the holocaust and because the Palestinians werent powerful enough to stop it. They've continued to take more and more land by force since then, every opportunity they had, using u.s. weapons and money. Israel has NEVER been legal or followed Gods basic laws in any way or form. But they just hate us over there because of our "freedom" while whatever small amount of freedom we have is being eroded by the wingers. They just waste time talking about making cuts to programs or expenses (e.g. employees) that are already extremely small. I think many consider Putin to be the ultimate crime boss/gangster, being among or possibly the most corrupt leader of all the powerful nations. Maybe not officially part of the "Russian mafia," but there's no reason to be when you're already more powerful and skim more money than all of them combined.

Pretty sad that we're focused on cutting education funding for poor and handicapped kids while nobody seems to be in favor of cutting social security funding for people that are already very wealthy and don't need the money whatsoever.

Dept of Education is pretty important and we get a lot of bang for the buck w this spending. It's only 4% of the federal budget and gives a lot of poor and handicapped kids a shot at a decent education. Rich people hate it because it creates a more level playing field, instead of the rich peoples' kids getting an even bigger advantage in life than they already have.
