Going to West Point and graduating basically gives you a pathway to a career for life. Even if you don't stay in the military, once your time is up, there's no shortage of places that would hire a West Point grad who has 4-5 years of experience. Depending on your duties in the army, that security clearance you might have becomes insanely valuable outside of the military. An old friend of mine served in the army and got the clearance. Once his time was up he got a job in a field he knew nothing about because it was cheaper to train him to do the job than spend the money to get somebody the proper clearance. Don't overlook the financial aspects of graduating from West Point.

I doubt it. People are so dependent on Google that it makes retaining information much harder. One of the things I had a professor do was give us a blank world map. This was before smart phones. We had 15 minutes to fill it in based on memory. Then at the end of the semester that was our final exam and based upon how much we improved or regressed was what we got on the final.

Less than 400 tickets have been distributed for this.

This isn't a left or right issue. This is we aren't teaching kids or even adults how to be aware of the world around us. As somebody who actually has a degree in geography, it's sad.

It's because of regressive school boards who want to ban books and not teach that there are other countries that exist.

That was their money the US was legally obligated to give back to them. Nobody gave it to them. If I stole $100 from you and then 40 years later tracked you down and handed youb$100, would I be giving you money?

Unless somebody flattened Tehran, it's very unlikely they'll displace whoever is in charge externally. Even if they did that it would be like kicking a hornets nest. Iraq with their superior military had them on the run until they ran into problems that Iran presented. Also we never controlled Afghanistan. Another place that is next to impossible to invade and hold.

Also Iran is basically impossible to forcibly invade for a variety of reasons. So they aren't helpless in a war, but trying to defeat them in a war would be extremely costly and they would make sure of that happening even without nukes.

While most exiles who left because of the revolution don't like the ayatollahs they also don't like the fact that another country is bombing their country at all. It is like how I may not like Trump, but if another country bombed us, I'd still be mad about it happening. Most Iranians don't like the government, but doing this is a sure way to help the ayatollahs consolidate their power.

It doesn't matter if they attacked industrial areas or not. You'd be mad if somebody bombed your home country. Most probably wouldn't take action, but there's always a chance that there's those few who would take it seriously.

Christianity hasn't caused millions of deaths? Apparently somebody never paid attention in history class. Ever. Before modern times, practically every war in Europe was fought because of religion. Probably the last significant battle fought in the West that wasn't because of two warring Christian kingdoms or factions was the Battle of Tours. Also the Crusades, that was initiated and continued on for years because of Christianity. Seriously some of you people are just willfully stupid.
